Al Nino Capangpangan

Born and raised in Cebu, Philippines, Al Nino (or "Nino") has been a group facilitator and manager for over 15 years in the outdoor industry. A true adventure enthusiast and a very easy-going person, Nino has a passion for all things outdoors. Nino has designed and facilitated experiential and adventure-based team building programs for both corporate and youth clients. He is also proficient with technical set-up on high-elements, as well as holding qualifications in BCU UKCC Level 2 Coaching Paddlesports, ISA Flat Water SUP Coaching, Rescue 3 Technician and Wilderness First Responder. In his spare time, Nino is an avid SCUBA Diver and is also a BSAC Instructor. In 2007, Nino lived in the USA, where he worked as an Instructor for Environmental and Adventure Education, and developed a passion for working with youth with disabilities. Nino joined Asia Pacific Adventure in 2009 as a freelance facilitator, and soon after became a member of the full-time team. In 2017, Nino became part of the senior management team as an Operations Manager for APA's Youth Division.

Axel White

Axel was born and raised in Hong Kong and spent much of his childhood exploring the trails and mountains of Sai Kung. Having been introduced to the outdoors at an early age, he has a passion for camping, fishing and exploring local wildlife. Since graduating from university, he has held several positions within the education industry before ultimately starting his journey at APA 5 years ago where he is now the Client Relations Manager.

Bill Tsang

Bill was born in Hong Kong and enjoys a variety of sports, particularly basketball. You will find him often playing basketball with his friends. Bill completed an accounting degree and is a qualified accountant and has worked in the industry for 10 years. He is responsible for accounting duties here at APA. He is proud to be a part of the APA family and hopes his experience can contribute to the success of the team.

Ching Liu

Ching is the Logistics Officer here at APA. He loves to go hiking during the holidays for exercise and good health. His biggest challenge so far has been summiting Sunset Peak on Lantau Island.

Christina Tsang

Christina is from Hong Kong and grew up hiking around the city's mountains from an early age. Along the way, she also became an avid trailrunner and watersports enthusiast, taking part in various trail running and adventure races across Hong Kong, including the 100km Oxfam Trailwalker. After living and studying abroad, Christina eventually returned home, where she completed her law degree at the University of Hong Kong and became qualified as a lawyer. In 2015, seeking to pursue her passion for sharing the outdoors with others, Christina joined Asia Pacific Adventure. She has since been working as part of the Client Relations Team, as well as with facilitation and program managing. She is particularly keen on teaching stand up paddling and is a qualified ISA Flat Water SUP coach. Having been involved in developing new programs in Hong Kong and overseas, Christina enjoys the challenges of working in different outdoor environments across Asia with such a dynamic and diverse team.

Danny Law

Danny grew up in Hong Kong and earned an Accounting degree from Washington State University in the United States. After graduation, he moved to California from Washington and worked as a junior accountant in a CPA firm. A couple of years later he became a qualified chief accountant in one of the world's largest exporters of Recovered Paper located in Los Angeles. Danny decided to relocate back to Hong Kong in 2007 and acted as an independent auditor. He turned to a new chapter in 2008 and feels so blessed to be a part of the APA family. He really enjoys working with all the friendly colleagues and APA's working environment.

Dominica Wong

After graduating with a degree in Information Science and Linguistics from City University (Hong Kong), Dominica spent time working and traveling around Australia and America. Back in Hong Kong, Dominica worked in a variety of fields, including logistics, legal, hospitality, guest services, corporate training, sales and marketing, stage management and show business. These different challenges and experiences enabled her to further determine her career path into sales and marketing with a focus on client's satisfaction. From 2005 to 2010, Dominica worked as a lead staff within the entertainment and events department at Hong Kong Disneyland Theme Park, before joining Asia Pacific Adventure in 2014 as Client Relationship Manager.

Eric Tse

Eric was born and raised in Hong Kong, having exposure to a wide range of working environments over the course of his career. As well as working in several positions he has taken part in further studies, gaining significant experience in Business Administration and IT Applications. Eric joined the APA family in 2005 and together with his practical work experience and educational background, he has become a large contributor to the company's success. Eric not only enjoys challenges within the office but has taken this to the outdoors where he has challenged himself to Paragliding and Bungee Jumping in Australia and New Zealand.

Francis Gitz CaƱete

Gitz hails from the Philippines where he grew up playing in the waters of one of the islands of Cebu. He started working in the outdoor industry as a PADI Dive Master and BSAC Open Water Instructor in order to share his love of exploring the sea.

Jacob Matias

Born in the Philippines, Jacob graduated with an Art Degree which has led him to have a keen eye for detail. At university he started climbing with the Mountaineering Club and has never looked back since. Since graduating he has been teaching rock climbing and track & field events alongside his painting career. Jacob has now been with APA for 8 years and has held positions both in the field as well as in the office. He enjoys mentoring, guiding and designing. In his spare time you will find him outdoors cycling, rock climbing or running on the trails.

Michael John Yu

Originally from the southern part of the Philippines (Baroy, Lanao del Norte), Micmic's love for the outdoors took root during his time in university. After discovering his passion to teach, Micmic became a Basic Mountaineering Course Instructor and at the same time fell deeper in love with his favorite water activity, SCUBA Diving. He went on to become a PADI Dive Master and a BSAC Open Water Instructor. Micmic joined the Asia Pacific Adventure team in September 2009 as an Outdoor Facilitator, further fueling his desire to share his passion to others. Since then he also further developed his technical skills with a Rescue 3 Technical Rope Technician award and a WMA Wilderness First Responder qualification. Since joining APA and after several seasons on youth and adult programs, Micmic moved into the Store Manager role for APA Group where is he is constantly faced with challenges overseeing a key part of the backbone of APA's program operations with all the gear, food and equipment that must accompany the delivery teams across dozens of locations around Asia.

Ryan S. Blair

Originally from the West Coast of the United States, Ryan has developed a career in Asia specializing in outdoor education, skills training, and adventure sport event & athlete management. After completing a degree in international business and taking part in adventures throughout the Rocky and Himalayan Mountains, Ryan settled in Hong Kong in 1995. By 1997 Ryan had been responsible for organizing several sports & entertainment events in Hong Kong and in 1998 became Race Director of the first adventure race in Hong Kong, Action Asia Challenge. In addition, Ryan was Director of Activities for an outdoor youth charity, Action Asia Foundation, and spearheaded several projects in Hong Kong, Thailand, and Taiwan. In 2000-1, Ryan played a key role in establishing a partnership between Action Asia and National Geographic, and subsequently, managed the first series of international adventure races in Asia. Ryan developed races in Thailand, Philippines, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Malaysia, with the events broadcasted internationally on ESPN-Star Sports and the National Geographic Channel.

Stan Leung

Stan is the Personal Assistant to Group Directors & Office Manager for APA Group. She brings over 20 years of secretarial experience and administrative experience in office management to the company. She assists in the development and implementation of company policies and procedures. Additionally, she harnesses communication and interpersonal skills to liaise between departments and the management team. Stan has been a resident of Hong Kong since she was born. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and children, exploring the outdoors, hiking and boating.

Stuart P. Sharpless

After moving to Hong Kong from the UK in 1995, Stuart has become one of the leaders and pioneers in Asia's outdoor at learning / training education and adventure sport industries. Explorer, corporate facilitator, adventure athlete, film-maker, and entrepreneur, Stuart has followed his passion and helped build APA Group together with friend and teammate Ryan S. Blair. Having worked in the industry for over 35 years. Stuart is one of the most technically experienced and qualified outdoor educators in Asia. He holds international qualifications and examiner certificates in mountaineering, rock climbing, skiing, avalanche operations, mountain rescue, white water rescue, white-water kayaking and canoeing, technical diving, and wilderness first aid, amongst others. Stuart has consulted for many companies (including National Geographic, Action Asia, AXN/Sony, and IMG) on safety and technical aspects for many international outdoor events throughout the Asia Pacific region. Stuart has also been a part of the development of drone technology in Asia, having been involved prior to its growing awareness in the main stream market. He was the first internationally qualified UAV pilot in Hong Kong and has worked closely with the Hong Kong Civil Aviation Department to develop and refine industry standards. In addition, he as also drone-filmed on many international productions ranging from Hollywood feature films to National Geographic's "One strange Rock."
