Astron was established in 1976 by Thomas O Dowd. Thomas with a background in carpentry and joinery worked closely with the pioneering retailer Fergal Quinn to develop what was to become the backbone of the company, custom designed and built refrigeration unit the salad bar. These units soon become a stable entity in all food retail outlets... Astron Engineering Limited is an Irish owned company continuing to deliver bespoke food display units in the retail sector for over 30 years... Over the past 45 years Astron have built our reputation on service, quality, and reliability. We are market leaders in our field both at home and in select markets abroad. We pride ourselves in understanding our client needs. We strive to exceed their expectations every time. We have built our reputation, on reliability and performance. Everything is crafted by hand in our Co Wicklow workshop.
