"The clients I represent are focused on obtaining results. I take very seriously my responsibility in helping them achieve those results. In my view, the practice of law is driven by results, not intentions. These results can be achieved by a wide variety of means, all of which I make available to my clients."
Adam is a member of the Litigation Department whose areas of expertise include construction litigation, personal injury, general litigation and commercial litigation.
"My practice is focused on planning, protection and administration. With every client, every family, I work hard to understand what is most important to them, and help them establish a plan to accomplish their desired objectives. For some, that means staying in the family home as long as possible. Others may want assistance with passing a family business and assets to the next generation. I like making those personal connections. I provide clients with strategic guidance, balancing estate planning concerns with years of legal experience in the business and corporate sector. Whether I am serving one individual, an entire family, or all the members of a business enterprise, I want to help clients understand the issues at stake and make informed decisions. Together, we identify, plan for, and protect what matters most."
"Just as all families are unique, so too are the legal issues that may surround them. I work with families of all forms and clients from all backgrounds; I listen to their needs with empathy and advocate for them accordingly. Given the highly emotional and sensitive nature of family law matters, I believe that transparency is fundamental to a positive attorney-client relationship. This is why I strive to explain how the law might affect your family circumstances in an easily digestible way."

"I am fortunate to have many loyal clients that rely on me to assist them with their legal needs. It seems to me that client loyalty is fostered by the dedication of our staff and our shared determination to provide quality work and responsive service. Local community involvement has always been intertwined with my business life. For over twenty (20) years I was very involved with the needs of the American Heart Association. During the last two years, I have played a leadership role in a major fund raising event for Baystate Children's Hospital. It is important to me to spend my time on something that can make a difference in many lives. It is this balance of community involvement and professional expertise that helps to make me the best attorney I can be."
George A. Bacon opened his law practice on June 17, 1895. He laid the groundwork for a highly specialized law practice with a focus on corporate and business law. As his practice flourished, he ventured into the political arena and continued to be very active in local and state government throughout the duration of his life. He was the founder of the Commercial Law League of America and Director of the Massachusetts Bureau of Statistics, in addition to receiving many other distinctions. For the next sixty years, Bacon's firm consisted of three partners, then it started to grow in 1966 with the addition of Paul Salvage as an associate. Michael Katz followed in 1974 and Gary Fialky joined in 1975.
The Wilson side of Bacon Wilson started with Peter Wilson in 1945. He inherited his firm from two previous owners and built a thriving Real Estate and Probate practice. George Keady joined Wilson's firm in the early 1950's and Michael Ratner joined in 1966. Mr. Wilson eventually retired and Mr. Keady became a Superior Court judge, leaving Michael Ratner as the only remaining partner with several associates in his office.
In 1979, the two firms of George Bacon and Peter Wilson merged. With twelve lawyers, they became one of the largest and most distinguished firms in Springfield. The synergy of the two firms resulted in powerful growth. Now well rounded to include corporate, business, real estate and probate law, the firm became an even more prominent and respected legal entity in Western Massachusetts.
In the early 1980s Bacon Wilson bought Ellis Title Company. Ellis Title was the premiere abstract and conveyancing company in Western Massachusetts, with the largest back title base in the region. This acquisition put Bacon Wilson at a great advantage with respect to the real estate front on behalf of clients.
"I focus my practice on helping people plan for the future. Even young people should start thinking about how they will support themselves in their retirement years, and everybody needs a basic estate plan, including a will, health care proxy and power of attorney. I am down to earth, and I pride myself on making difficult and complex issues easy to understand for my clients. I have a broad client base including a mix of ages, genders, ethnicities and sexual orientations."
"I get tremendous satisfaction from knowing that my clients are well-advised before making important decisions. While consistently accomplishing client objectives, assisting with tax savings, preserving assets for the next generation, and maintaining family harmony, I meet my clients' goals. I strive for each client's satisfaction and comfort with his or her plan."

"Sometimes bad things happen to good people, and they get in over their heads unintentionally. My psychology background helps me counsel my clients and provides a basis for me to guide people who are acting on an emotional rather than the logical level. My goal is to provide rational and reasonable solutions, calm unreasonable fears and put my clients at ease so that I can help them overcome difficult times."
"As a business and transactional attorney, my focus is on details. I strive to be overly protective of my client's needs and at the same time provide quality and cost effective advice. I find that keeping a client fully informed at every step of a transaction is also beneficial and translates into successful results and satisfied clients."

I believe that an important key to being a successful attorney is adaptability. I adjust my strategy to suit each situation as it presents itself. I adapt to judges' styles as well as those of opposing counsel. Sometimes I have to be aggressive and take a hard-line stance, but sometimes it makes more sense to be flexible and negotiate depending on what is in my client's best interest, managing a client's expectations is key. When I've successfully guided somebody through a complex area of the law and accomplished their goals, my clients know that I have listened to their feelings, anxieties, fears, and wishes, and have advocated for them accordingly within the parameters of the law.
"I make sure that my clients receive fast, reasonably priced, quality legal services. I work hard to make sure that they feel that they made the right choice in selecting both my firm and me, promptly returning phone calls and answering correspondence. My clients become my friends as well as my best references for future business, so I make sure that they understand what I am doing on their behalf, and that they have input into all key decisions. Keeping clients informed and involved is as important to me as it is to them."
