Dr. Mark R. Linzer

Dr. Mark R. Linzer specializes in podiatry at the Bay Area Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine Division in Arnold, Maryland. Dr. Linzer completed his Bachelors of Science in Biology at East Carolina University in Greenville, North Carolina, and earned his medical degree from Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He then completed his residency in podiatric surgery at the University of Louisville Hospital and Kentucky One Healthcare in Louisville, Kentucky. In his third year, he served as Chief Resident at the Level 1 Trauma Center, responsible for hospital in-patient service, Residents' Clinic and Wound Care Center. Outside the office, Dr. Linzer enjoys giving back to the community and leading an active life style. He currently volunteers as a youth hockey coach and previously served on the medical team for the Penn Relays and Ironman Louisville. His interests include ice hockey, cycling, car racing and guitar. Dr. Vivek Sood

Dr. Vivek Sood is a double board certified orthopaedic surgeon, specializing in total joint replacement and foot and ankle. Dr. Sood completed his undergraduate studies at Binghamton University and graduated Cum Laude with a B.S. degree in Biochemistry. He received his medical degree at the State University of New York (SUNY) at Brooklyn in 2000. During medical school, he received numerous honors, including The Joshua H. Weiner International Health Fellowship and an Alumni Association research grant. He then completed his Orthopaedic Surgery Residency at SUNY Brooklyn, where he served as chief resident. After residency, he received advanced training in adult joint reconstruction at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago. At Rush, he trained extensively in hip and knee revision surgery and also gained experience in performing minimally invasive hip and knee surgeries. Dr. Sood then went to Mount Sinai Medical Center and received subspecialty training in Foot and Ankle Surgery.

Emeka Nwodim

Dr. Nwodim is the recipient of numerous academic and professional awards and has authored and co-authored multiple orthopaedic research articles. Dr. Nwodim is a very special man and I am so blessed to have him as my doctor and friend!

Stephen D. Brown

Steven Brown, M.D. is a board certified orthopaedic physician specializing in arthroscopic shoulder, knee reconstruction and sports medicine at the Glen Burnie, Kent Island and Arnold/ Annapolis, Maryland offices of the Bay Area Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine Division. Dr. Brown received his undergraduate and medical degree from the University of Virginia and has gained an extensive amount of experience during his career. He believes in exhausting all non-operative options and modalities before exercising surgical options. However, when necessary, Dr. Brown and his surgical team use state of the art surgical techniques in hopes of making each patient well. Dr. Brown received post-graduate training at George Washington University and founded The Greater Anne Arundel Orthopaedic Society which provides a lecture and educational series for Orthopaedic Surgeons across Maryland. Dr. Brown has been my orthopedic since 1989. He has taken care of my mom, dad, and many friends we all have had great experiences.

Thomas Phan

Thomas Phan, M.D. is a Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation physician with subspecialty fellowship training in Pain Management. He specializes in chronic pain management and minimally invasive procedures to treat painful disorders of the spine, muscles, and peripheral joints. Dr. Phan promotes a conservative, multidisciplinary approach to pain management. He has conducted research on the use of peripheral nerve stimulation to control postamputation pain. He has published and presented his findings at several national conferences including American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Association of Academic Physiatrists, and American Society of Regional Anesthesia and Pain Medicine.

William C. Doukas

William C. Doukas, M.D., is a board certified orthopaedic physician with a strong military background specializing in Shoulder and Sports Medicine at the Bay Area Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine Division of The Centers. Dr. Doukas served for 24 years in the United States Army culminating as a Colonel in the U.S. Army Medical Corps. He also served as Chairman of the Department of Orthopaedics and Rehabilitation at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, D.C., for nearly a decade in addition to working as an assistant professor of surgery at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences before entering into private practice in West Virginia. He is also a long-time Board Examiner for the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. Dr Doukas is the best around. Listens and does not try to impress you with Dr terms. Highly recommended!!! Dr. Doukas is an amazing physician. I recently had shoulder surgery. I was out of my sling in less than a week and I've never needed the pain mess that were prescribed. The operated area is healing extremely well with absolutely no scars. Just 3 small incision placed for the arthroscopic procedure. I was able to drive the next day with minimal discomfort. I'd recommend Dr. Doukas highly if you are considering any orthopedic procedure
