Routinely, our patients, who come to us from the Knoxville area, Johnson City, Cookeville, Cleveland, and other Tennessee communities, tell us how nice Dr. Reath is. In addition to spending time with patients in the office, Dr. Reath also answers patient emails personally every morning before he starts operating. He even calls his patients the night of their surgery to check on them.
His Plastic Surgery Qualifications Are First-Rate
Not only is Dr. Reath a Board-certified plastic surgeon, but he also served as member-at-large of the Board of Directors of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. Because of his passion for public education, the ASPS asked Dr. Reath to be Chairman of their Public Education Committee. He is the only plastic surgeon in East Tennessee to serve in a leadership position of the country's foremost authority on plastic surgery.
Dr. Reath is a longtime resident of Knoxville, Tennessee. He and his wife have three children who are all married and spread out across the country in South Carolina, Colorado and East Tennessee. When not in the operating room, seeing patients in the office, or writing about plastic surgery education issues, Dr. Reath can usually be found singing baritone in the choir at the Church of the Ascension or riding his Peloton bike.

Dr. Antony specialized in cosmetic surgery and breast reconstruction for 15 years. Dr Antony was drawn to the field of plastic surgery with a background as a trained artist focusing on sculpture and oil painting having studied at the Lorenzo Medici Institute of Art in Florence, Italy. After attending the North Carolina School of Science and Math, she completed a degree at a top 10% nationally ranked Chemistry program followed by her medical degree at University of North Carolina- Chapel Hill. She honed her skills as a plastic surgeon at the elite Stanford University Medical Center plastic surgery residency in Palo Alto, California. She rounded out her education and training at Ivy League Harvard and Cornell completing her reconstructive plastic surgery fellowship at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center / Cornell Medical Center in New York, followed by a fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital / Harvard Medical School. She has a Master of Public Health from the Harvard School of Public Health and an Executive MBA from the Northwestern Kellogg School of Management. She is excited to return home to NC from Chicago bringing her family (husband, two children and two fur babies) with her.

Dr. Antony is known as a pioneer in the field of plastic surgery having developed novel surgical techniques that have gained national and international recognition. Dr. Antony empowers her patients to look and feel their best and achieve their personal beauty goals.
Dr. Antony is an accomplished writer, researcher, and speaker who lectures nationally and internationally. Dr. Antony most recently has served as Professor and Vice Chair of the Department of Surgery at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago and Chair and President of national and regional societies and conferences. She maintains membership in numerous distinguished professional societies. Ben Wood, MD, MBA, FACS, is a board-certified plastic surgeon in Raleigh, North Carolina. His post-doctoral training includes the integrated residency program in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Wake Forest Baptist Health and a fellowship in Craniofacial and Pediatric Plastic Surgery at Children's National Medical Center in Washington, D.C. Gaurav Bharti M.D., FACS is a board certified plastic surgeon and co-founder of H/K/B Cosmetic Surgery. Dr. Bharti believes that plastic surgery requires a balance of compassion, understanding and technical skill. As an aesthetic plastic surgeon, Dr. Bharti performs a full range of breast, body, and facial cosmetic procedures.
In addition to being a Co-Founder & Managing Partner of HKB Cosmetic Surgery, Dr. Bharti is a board advisor, mentor, speaker, entrepreneur, ASAPS fellowship director, investor, and influencer.

Dr. Ruff brings over 40 years of surgical experience to a patient's evaluation and treatment. His extraordinary level of expertise combined with his talents for art and innovation creates the best care the discipline has to offer.
Dr. Ruff grew up in Michigan and loved to play outdoors. He has always been drawn to nature first as a Boy Scout and then as a zoology major at the University of Michigan.
At age 20, he entered Michigan's Medical school. Based on his research in cardiovascular physiology, he strongly considered training in heart surgery. However the allure of plastic surgery, with its emphasis on beauty as well as function, proved irresistible.
He first did his general surgery residency at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Ann Arbor, Michigan. After finishing a plastic surgery residency at Duke University, Dr. Ruff was offered a craniofacial fellowship at New York University. He accepted a faculty position in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Duke University in 1986.
As a professor of Plastic Surgery at Duke, he performed thousands of cosmetic, craniofacial, and pediatric plastic surgery cases. He developed innovative techniques and lectured and published on different types of aesthetic and reconstructive surgery. He established the Craniomaxillofacial Trauma Team, directed the Cleft Palate Board, and mentored countless residents.
In 1991, Dr. Ruff invented barbed sutures. He formed a company, Quill Medical, to develop these sutures for use in aesthetic and general surgery. Dr. Ruff's device was the first barbed suture to gain FDA approval. Known as the Contour Thread, it is used to lift the face and neck. His second barbed suture, the Quill, is approved by the FDA to close wounds without the need for conventional surgical knots. Surgeons worldwide now use these throughout the body.

Dr. Heather Levites is an HKB fellowship trained plastic surgeon with a special interest in advanced cosmetic surgery. She earned her undergraduate degree at MIT after attending an arts high school in New York City. She earned her MD from the State University of New York at Stony Brook, and completed her plastic surgery training at Duke University.
While at Duke, Dr. Levites honed her surgical skills focusing on aesthetic surgery of the face, pediatric plastic surgery, hand surgery, craniofacial trauma reconstruction and oncologic reconstruction. She further bolstered her aesthetic surgery expertise under the guidance of Drs. Hunstad, Kortesis and Bharti in Charlotte, NC. She is the author of multiple peer reviewed publications, has given presentations at many national plastic surgery conferences, and helped launch "The Resident Review", a podcast aimed at educating plastic surgery trainees around the world.
Dr. Levites grew up in New York City studying to be a dancer and fine artist, and still enjoys dance and art in her spare time. Her childhood experiences taught her the value of precision, poise, humility and respect. Like an artist, the human body has become her canvas, and the scalpel the brush. As a mom herself, Dr. Levites understands the value of restoring the body of a mother back to her previous form. She recognizes that each patient's goals and desires are unique, and tailors her surgical plan to help her patients look and feel their best.

Dr. Walker is originally from Ohio, and graduated summa cum laude from the Williams Honors College at The University of Akron. She then traveled to her neighbor to the north and completed her medical training at Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit, MI. Dr. Walker completed a rigorous and competitive residency in general surgery in Detroit, where she served as chief resident in her final year.
Dr. Walker fell in love with the intricacy of reconstructive surgery during her general surgery residency. With her interest piqued, Dr. Walker pursued more extensive plastic and reconstructive surgery training with a plastic surgery fellowship at the University of Louisville. There, she honed her skills in complex surgeries, including microsurgery, facial trauma, burns, complex breast surgery, and aesthetics, and she was moved by how these procedures transformed her patients' lives.
During her medical and surgical training, she has been involved in research and has presented at national and regional medical meetings.

Dr. Richard Kao is a Fellowship-Trained Facial Plastic Surgeon.
He received his Bachelor of Arts degree at Princeton University in Princeton, New Jersey. He attended Medical School at Wake Forest School of Medicine in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, graduating with surgical research honors. He completed his residency in Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery at Indiana University in Indianapolis, Indiana, and was appointed Chief Resident his final year.
Dr. Kao completed a highly prestigious facial plastic surgery fellowship accredited by the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, training under Dr. Dean Toriumi in Chicago, Illinois. He served as a Clinical Instructor in the Department of Otorhinolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery at Rush University Medical Center.
Dr. Kao is a board-certified head and neck surgeon, certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery. He passed written and oral boards in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, through the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.
