Ben Barrett

Ben has been on the the team for four years and looks after all aspects of customer service, administration, accounts, costing, ordering and budgeting. With over 20 years experience in customer service, Ben is looking forward to helping to guide each customer through the house building process. His easy going nature makes him a pleasure to work with and deal with for customers. Ben's hobbies include camping, snow skiing, water skiing and coffee.

Chris Holmes

Job Titles:
  • Foreman
Chris has been working with Banksia Building for 9 years, beginning as a carpenter and progressing to foreman. He has over 21 years of experience within the trade, and is known as an "all rounder," a hard worker, and an excellent tradesmen. Chris is a great teacher with apprentices and really enjoys commercial fit-outs.

Joanne Banks

Jo has been a Director of Banksia Building, as well as the Secretary for over 15 years. Her primary role is controlling the money that comes in and out of the business, paying bills and wages (with Bec's help)! Jo is passionate about safety, and as Mick's wife, her biggest job is keeping an eye on him as he comes up with some crazy ideas!! Outside of work, Jo spends her time running after their three children Ryan, Sophie & Millie.

Michael Banks

Mick is the Director of Banksia Building, with over 23 years of experience in the building trade. Mick started his building career with Sturgeon & Sugden Building Services where he worked for 9 years prior to starting his own business. Mick's extensive building knowledge allows him to walk the customer step-by-step through the building process, starting from drawing the plans through to completing their home. His flexibility and understanding enables him to maintain great customer relationships to ensure we build it the way they want it. Mick has been a member of the Master Builders Association for 14 years. For the last 8 years, Mick has been the Central West Master Builders Association President and is currently the Vice President of NSW Master Builders Council of Management. On a personal note, Mick loves water skiing, snow skiing, camping with his family and friends, fishing and cooking - he especially loves making salami and olives! He is also known for his skills in organising large social functions with friends.
