Neal C. Baroody

Neal C. Baroody graduated cum laude from the University of Maryland in 1984. In 1987, after serving as an editor of the Law Review, he graduated cum laude from the University of Baltimore School of Law. In 1987, Mr. Baroody joined Venable, Baetjer & Howard's litigation department. In 1993, he founded his own firm. Over the past 20 years he has tried jury and nonjury cases in federal and state courts. He also arbitrated numerous disputes involving general contract, construction, and copyright issues, drafted appeals to the Fourth Circuit, Court of Appeals of Maryland, and the Court of Special Appeals of Maryland, drafted articles for the American Bar Association and the Bureau of National Affairs, Inc. and spoke before the Association of Builders and Contractors, Inc. Thomas O'Toole graduated cum laude from the University of Maryland in 1982. In 1986, he graduated from the Catholic University School of Law. Later that year, he joined the New York firm of Mudge Rose Guthrie Alexander & Ferdon's in the corporate department. As a corporate associate, he participated in various sophisticated corporate transactions, including structured and project financings. He obtained substantial experience in drafting contracts and other documents involving corporate financial transactions. In 1989, he joined the Baltimore firm of Venable, Baetjer and Howard in the business/tax department, where he continued to represent clients in corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions. Since forming his own firm in 1993, Mr. O'Toole has continued to represent clients in various corporate and business transactions while expanding his practice to include litigation. Mr. O'Toole has successfully represented corporate and individual clients at trial, judge and jury, and on appeals at the State and Federal level. He and his partner, Neal C. Baroody, have obtained substantial recoveries for their business and individual clients.
