Anthony is the founding partner of A Batchelor and Associates. His passion for personal injury law is born from the immense satisfaction of being able to help the man on the street get back on their feet after sustaining devastating injuries.
Desiré is a born and bred Namibian, who completed her BComm LLB degree at Stellenbosch University in 2005. She started her articles at A Batchelor and Associates in 2006 and was admitted as an attorney in February 2008. In March 2021 Desiré joined Anthony Batchelor and Gerda Theron as one of the Directors at A Batchelor and Associates Inc.
Desiré is married and mom of two little girls. She enjoys baking and family trips to the beautiful land of Namibia.
Eric completed his LLB degree at Stellenbosch University and commenced his articles at Cliffe Dekker Hofmeyr. He joined A Batchelor and Associates Inc as an Associate in 2006 and embarked on a legal career specialising in litigation. Eric is a highly skilled attorney with a diverse legal background and a strong focus on both criminal law and litigation. In addition to criminal law, Eric excels in handling cases involving RAF claims, personal injury matters, medical negligence, unlawful arrest and claims against PRASA. This multifaceted background allows him to provide comprehensive legal services, ensuring that clients receive top-notch legal representation.
Gerda studied a BProc degree at RAU University. Thereafter she did her articles at Anton Myburg Attorneys, which was ceded to Kassel, Sklaar, Cohen Incorporated. She was admitted as an attorney in 1997. From 1997 until 1998, Gerda was a senior claims handler at the Road Accident Fund in Cape Town. She was headhunted by A Batchelor and Associates for the position as Professional Assistant during November 1998, and became a partner in May 2003. Gerda has been a member of the American Association of Justice since 2013. She specialises in medical negligence and motor vehicle accident claims.
Robin grew up in a small town in the Breede Valley area, and moved to Cape Town after he completed his LLB degree at Stellenbosch University in 2018. After finishing his studies, he started his legal career at A Batchelor and Associates where he completed his articles. He was admitted as an attorney in February 2021, and in September 2021, he was appointed as a Junior Associate at A Batchelor and Associates. His areas of speciality within the field of civil litigation include Road Accident Fund claims, slip and trips, medical negligence, unlawful arrest and detention, as well as claims against PRASA.
