David obtained his BProc Degree during 1983 and is presently practicing at Brown Braude & Vlok Incorporated in the capacity of Attorney, Conveyancer and Notary Public . He joined Brown Braude & Vlok in 1986 as a Candidate Attorney. He served his Articles at Brown Braude & Vlok and has remained with Brown Braude & Vlok ever since thus enjoying more than 30 years service. He was admitted as an Attorney in 1988. He became Partner in 1988 and is at present a Senior Director of the firm. Whilst David has excellent litigation skills, during 1991, as a result in the demand of the Company he specialized in Conveyancing. From the perspective of Conveyancing, David has looked after the major Banks and thereby ensured that BBV has retained its position as Panel Attorney for FNB Home Loans, FNB Housing, Standard Bank Home Loans, Nedbank Home Loans and ABSA Bank Home Loans in additional to their respective cancellation panels. His expertise in general conveyancing includes, but is not limited to, property transfers, sub-divisions, consolidation of land, contracts of sale, donation and exchange, registration of all forms of bonds, lease and option agreements, sectional title, share blocks, township establishment and developments. David has established and opened Township Registries on behalf of the Local Authority.

Joelene Brown

Joelene obtained her LLB Degree in 2006 at the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University and was admitted as an Attorney as well a Conveyancer during 2008 and as a Notary Public during 2009. She obtained a Diploma in Insolvency Law during 2011 (with distinction) from the University of Pretoria and she completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Administration (PDBA Degree) from Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University Business School (Cum Laude) in 2017. In 2019 she graduated with a Masters in Business Administration (MBA Degree) Nelson Mandela University Business School. Joelene is a director at BBV Attorneys and practices as an Attorney, Conveyancer and Notary. She also practices as an Insolvency Practitioner and serves as both Liquidator and Trustee in Insolvent Estates as well as Liquidated entities. She specializes in Insolvency Law and related matters as well as the Administration of Deceased Estates, Insolvencies / Liquidations Litigation, Curatorship's and she acts as a Receiver in Divorce matters and Divorces. She presently directs and manages the Insolvency and Recoveries / Collection Department which includes liquidation matters as well as the Deceased Estates Department within the firm. She also takes appointments as an Insolvency Practitioner and Liquidator in the Masters Offices of Pretoria, Cape Town, Grahamstown, Port Elizabeth, Pietermaritzburg and Bloemfontein. Joelene is a member of the South African Restructuring and Insolvency Practitioners Association (SARIPA) since 2010 and has been the Eastern Cape Regional Chairperson since 2015. She has served on the National Board of SARIPA since 2016 and serves on various of its committees. In 2020 she was elected to the Executive Committee of the SARIPA Board. Michelle Du Toit

Michelle, arriving from the Klein-Karoo, obtained her Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University in 2017. In 2018 she was conferred with a Master of Laws (LLM) in Labour- and Criminal Law with a research based treatise in Criminal Justice. In 2020 she joined Brown Braude and Vlok Inc. as an Associate after being admitted as an Attorney in February 2020. She later obtained admission as a Notary Public in September 2020. Michelle has a profound respect for the law and a passion to assist people. Her open door policy and continuous engagements with professionals within the legal sphere ensure that she is abreast of legal developments which may benefit her clients. She has great interpersonal skills and thrives on assisting her clients in all matters presented to her. Her main focus area is on collections (general and Sectional Title Collections), property litigation and general litigation.
