Alex has energy to burn. Good thing, since he is responsible for leasing and marketing Atando Business Park, a 1.1 million square foot industrial park in Charlotte. He also assists the industrial team with leasing Beacon's existing portfolio as well as pursing new acquisition opportunities.
A graduate of the US Military Academy at West Point, Alex earned a degree in accounting and business management. After graduating, he spent over eight years combined with the Airborne Division of the Army in Fayetteville, North Carolina and as Commander, Operational Detachment - Alpha at 7 th Special Forces Group in Destin, Florida.
Alex is what one might call a roaming gnome - he's never lived in one place for more than three years. It's safe to say he's more than excited to call Charlotte home and be closer to his family.
Amanda is a tireless caretaker. She manages our office buildings within Midtown and South End for Beacon owned and third party institutional client owned properties. Over her 25 year plus real estate career, she has managed warehouse, industrial, retail, and office properties for a variety of ownership groups.
Amanda graduated from Winthrop College with a bachelor's degree in fine arts. She earned a Certified Property Manager (CPM ®) designation from the Institute of Real Estate Management and is a licensed real estate broker in North Carolina and South Carolina.
When Amanda isn't whipping her properties into shape, she works hard to keep her mind and body in shape by running and cross-fit.

With more than 14 years of property management experience, Angela knows how to work hard and is always up for a challenging project - making her the perfect candidate for her role as an assistant property manager and office manager in Raleigh. Angela not only helps to maintain contracts, financial reporting and communication for 1.5 million square feet of office and industrial space, but she also supervises the day-to-day operations for the Beacon office. Having most recently spent time as an assistant property manager at Stiles Property Management in Orlando, FL, she oversaw 1 million square feet of mixed-use and office properties.
A graduate of Florida Southern College, Angela has a degree in business management and is a member of Building Owners and Managers Association International (BOMA).
Having grown up on the Florida coast, Angela has a great interest in sea life - she not only tracks a great hammerhead shark daily that she sponsors through Saving the Blue.

When it comes to taking care of customers, Anne is our gold-standard. When she's not greeting our guests and callers, she is our office administrator, and provides helpful support to property management, leasing, and finance. Anne has more than 35 years of customer service experience, including serving as a flight attendant for 20 years, and was an executive assistant and facilities manager with Avelo Mortgage, a Goldman Sachs company. She earned a bachelor's degree in English from the University of North Carolina Greensboro.
Anne is an avid birdwatcher and a minor celebrity in the Charlotte birding world for having rare migrant species in her backyard on occasion. She may or may not have binoculars at her desk.
Brian likes math. He leads the capitalization and reporting of Beacon's property portfolio, including capital structuring, capital partner relationship management, and property accounting and underwriting. Previously, he worked with Colonial Properties Trust in Charlotte (multifamily development), and Partners Group in San Francisco (institutional real estate fund and structured product investments).
Brian is a graduate of North Carolina State University and the Kenan-Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Brian is married and has two daughters.
Brian loves the outdoors. He has a green thumb and enjoys wetting the line (fishing).
A true team player, Chris performs hands-on maintenance work within our office portfolio, and he's a "first responder" for handling the needs and concerns from our tenants and visitors. Prior to joining Beacon, he worked at the North Carolina Air National Guard facility in Charlotte as a maintenance mechanic where he was responsible for their HVAC, electrical, and plumbing needs.
Chris attended Gaston College, NC and has a Universal EPA refrigeration card as well as North Carolina pesticide and herbicide license.
Chris enjoys mountain biking, saltwater fishing, hunting and hanging out with his wife and two sons in his spare time. He is also officially licensed in North Carolina to drive a bus and spray for pesticides and herbicides.
Claire's great at crafting deals that work for everyone involved. She skillfully handles the marketing and leasing of our office portfolio, including more than 1 million square feet of infill urban space in Midtown, South End and LoSo of Charlotte. She helps to pre-lease new developments, and pursues infill land and office acquisitions.
Claire received her bachelor's degree from the University of Georgia and returned to her home state to receive her master's degree from the University of North Carolina Kenan-Flagler Business School.
Claire has a passion for the outdoors and hiking. Since she's already conquered Mt. Kilimanjaro, we're hoping her next big stake will be in the Charlotte real estate market.
Dan joined Beacon in 2007, and he stays busy. He manages nearly 4 million square feet of industrial space for Beacon owned as well as third party institutional own properties throughout Charlotte's West and Southwest markets. Dan has over 25 years of property management experience and has earned a Certified Property Manager (CPM ®) designation from the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM). He serves on IREM's Western North Carolina Chapter Executive Council. A graduate of the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, Dan has a bachelor's degree in sociology.
Dan loves hiking and biking the North Carolina mountains.

We're fortunate to have Dave provide strategic leadership to our property management team and lead the asset management platform for our entire portfolio. He has over 30 years of property management, operations and leasing experience working with private and institutional investors overseeing office, industrial and mixed use projects in Minneapolis and Chicago.
Dave grew up in Wisconsin and attended the University of Wisconsin (we have another Big 10 fan amongst us). He spent his professional career in Minneapolis, surviving the brutal winter this year-over 6-feet of snow YTD, (yes that's feet not inches) and wind chill factors reaching minus 50 (yikes)!
We are fortunate that Dawn has been part of Beacon Partners since 1996. She currently manages several of our office properties in the South End and Midtown areas of Charlotte. Some of her buildings include 1616 Center, The Addison and numerous properties along the E. Morehead corridor. Dawn is lucky enough to have all of her grown children reside in the Charlotte area.
Dawn loves to Snapchat with her grandson. Who happens to be a toddler.
Doug has a big heart and a big job. As COO, he leads the day to day operations of Beacon and oversees leasing, property management, project management, marketing, and human resources. His 30 years in the real estate industry includes his service as SVP of Central Florida at Duke Realty Corporation and Florida market director for JLL. Doug is active in the Charlotte community. He's a member of the Board of Directors of the Stratford Richardson YMCA and Freedom Communities as well as a member of the Real Estate Committee of the Renaissance West Community Initiative (RWCI).
Doug is a graduate of the University of Cincinnati with a bachelor's degree in finance and real estate. He and his wife, Deb, have three children and live in the Dilworth neighborhood.

Erin is a key leader of our investment team. As Managing Director of Investments, she is responsible for maximizing the performance and driving the profitability of Beacon's 13 million square foot portfolio. Erin spent 15 years at Meritage Properties, a boutique owner/operator of office and mixed-use properties based in New York. Erin is a Commissioner on the Charlotte Mecklenburg Planning Commission. She also sits on the Urban Land Institute's Small Scale Development Council - Gold Flight at the national level. She's previously served on the Charlotte Region Commercial Board of Realtors' (CRCBR) as a member of both the Advisory Board and the New Member Committee.
Erin sits on the Board of Ambassadors for Levine Children's Hospital as well as being a member of its Dreamcatcher Society. She has held several committee positions as a volunteer at Dilworth Elementary and also served as a semester-long mentor for the Project Destined internship program.
Despite defecting to the Northeast for the first part of her career, Erin is a true ‘Carolina Girl' having been born and raised in Charlotte and graduating from UNC-Chapel Hill.
Gray works hard at getting results and completing his projects on time. His creative and task-oriented skills make his role as Project Manager seem like a breeze. Most of Gray's time is spent on project entitlement, due diligence, and design for new developments. In addition, he handles tenant improvements and capital improvements for the existing portfolio and new acquisitions. Prior to joining Beacon, Gray spent seven years at McAdams, a full-service civil engineering firm, where he worked on several high-profile mixed-use projects as well as some industrial and multi-family projects.
An Eastern North Carolina native, Gray graduated from North Carolina State University with a degree in horticultural science and North Carolina A&T State University with a degree in civil engineering.
If he ever tires of project management, maybe he can hone his hereditary talents as a baseball player? His grandfather played for the St. Louis Cardinals and won the 1934 World Series!
As assistant controller, Jamie is responsible for Beacon's tax compliance, planning, and general accounting. Jamie earned a Master of Accountancy as well as a bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Prior to joining Beacon, she worked as a tax manager for Blair, Bohle & Whitsitt. She is a Certified Public Accountant in North Carolina.
Outside of work, Jamie enjoys jumping out of a perfectly good airplane - from about 14,000 feet in the air to be exact - so much so that she has jumped over 1,000+ times!
Jeremy Dunn runs. Numbers, that is. As Beacon's Controller, he oversees our accounting operations. His primary focus is on optimizing internal controls to mitigate risk and enhancing the accuracy of our financial reporting and tax compliance. Jeremy has over 10 years of accounting and tax experience includes his previous role as a senior manager providing tax and audit services for Elliot Davis Decosimo. Jeremy graduated with a bachelor's degree in accounting and a master's from Coastal Carolina University. He is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in North Carolina and South Carolina. When he's not at work, he's enjoying family time with his wife and three kiddos.
John likes to start a project and see it finished until the end. His knack for being persistent and persevering make him the ideal candidate for his role as a Building Engineer. John is responsible for providing services to our office and industrial buildings and tenants throughout the Charlotte area, including Atando Business Park in North Charlotte to The Addison in Midtown Charlotte. Originally an electrician by trade, John spent over 10 years working primarily in a hospital environment that included public and critical infrastructure; however, in 2015 he obtained a bachelor's in business administration from Catawba College where his career headed into building operations and project management. He spent over seven years as a building engineer with JLL/Concord Hospitality.
A devoted family man, John says one of the most rewarding parts of his life has been helping his high school son with baseball - having coached all of his teams since tee-ball!

John's the guy who makes buildings better. His focus is on industrial development projects, having led several projects totaling more than 4 million square feet, as well as tenant improvements, upfits and capital improvements. John performs due diligence for acquisitions, analyzes sites for development potential, manages entitlements and construction and ensures our customers have a smooth occupancy process. He's also an active member of NAIOP Charlotte.
John graduated with a bachelor's degree in construction engineering and management from North Carolina State.
John doesn't mind telling you that he is the funniest guy in a room full of engineers. By far.

John has a knack for being able to see the forest through the trees. As the Capital Markets Associate, John works closely with our finance and capital team to assist with underwriting, forecasting, valuation, and capital sourcing. Prior to joining Beacon, John worked for CBRE's Institutional Debt & Structured Finance team. A graduate of Villanova University, he double majored in finance and real estate. He has a North Carolina real estate license and volunteers for the local Cystic Fibrosis Foundation chapter.
John was born and raised in Minnesota, and is, of course, an avid Vikings fan.

Jon's energy and passion for life is contagious. After graduating from Davidson College, he joined Beacon in 1995 as a leasing agent and has served multiple roles: development, acquisition and asset/investment roles. Today, he stewards the growth of Beacon's industrial portfolio through acquisition and development.
Jon's passion for K-12 education funnels through his current service on the KIPP NC Board, an open enrollment public charter school focused on underserved communities. He previously served as the Dowd YMCA Board Chair and the Board of the John Crosland School. Jon is also civically involved with the Carolina Thread Trail/Catawba Land Conservancy Board, as well as 6+ year member of the city of Charlotte's Unified Development Citizens' Ordinance Advisory Committee.
An avid traveler, Jon can often be found on the side of a mountain, with toes in the sand or chasing his favorite artists at live music shows.
Katrena likes things neat and tidy. Her attention to quality and detail makes managing Beacon's 1 million square foot industrial portfolio in Raleigh a piece of cake for her. Over her 15 year plus real estate career, she has managed a diverse portfolio - from medical and aviation to office and industrial properties. Prior to joining Beacon, she was a Real Estate Manager at CBRE | Raleigh where she handled the operations of office, medical, flex and retail. Katrena graduated from North Carolina Central University with a bachelor's degree in business management. She is an active member of Building Owners and Management Association (BOMA) and is pursuing a Certified Property Manager (CPM ®) designation through the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM).
When Katrena isn't cheering at her kid's sporting activities, she spends time planting in her flower beds, watching Chinese Drama with her mom or playing with her Schnoodle, Cocoa.
Kyle's persistence and determination are key factors when it comes to his approach to problem solving. As a Project Manager, Kyle's passion for design shines through when overseeing tenant and capital improvements as well as new developments throughout our office and industrial portfolio in Raleigh. He started his career with Balfour Beatty Construction, where he worked on several high-rise residential and offices projects in Washington DC and Raleigh. He graduated with a B.S. Construction Engineering & Management from Virginia Tech and is an active member in the Young Alumni Committee for the School of Construction.
Kyle has strong ties to his very large Irish family, making his dual US/Irish citizenship that much more meaningful.
Maggie keeps everything together on task and on target. As Senior Project Manager, she handles new development assignments from due diligence, entitlements and design. Additionally, Maggie handles tenant improvements and capital improvements of the existing portfolio and new acquisitions. She's also on the Board of the Charlotte NAIOP Chapter.
Maggie was previously with Kimley-Horn, where she spent seven years as a civil engineer. She gained valuable design and entitlement experience working on various product types, including many large industrial developments throughout the Carolinas. A native of Florence, SC, she has a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from Clemson University.
Maggie's blood runs orange. She comes from a long line of family who are Clemson alum - to date, there are well over 25 family members who are proud to call themselves a Tiger.

Matt leads Beacon Partners' due diligence, entitlement, development and tenant improvement project management functions, including all phases of design, construction and occupancy throughout the Carolinas. With over 20 years of real estate experience in the Carolinas, Matt has managed over 8 million square feet of industrial, office, healthcare, and institutional projects. Matt graduated with a degree in civil and environmental engineering from the University of Cincinnati.
Matt loves spending quality time with his wife and two children. He enjoys fishing, hiking, concerts, and cheering for his alma mater and hometown Cleveland sports teams. Matt also volunteers with organizations that focus on at-risk youth.

It's hard to believe, but Meredith has been with us for over 20 years! She has played several key roles over the years and currently provides lease administration support for our office and industrial properties. In addition, she assists with investment property due diligence and helps onboard and mentor our new leasing agents. She is a graduate of Clemson University, where she received a bachelor's degree in marketing.
Meredith spends a lot of time on the soccer fields with all four of her children!
