Luis Raya, Transportation Safety Manager for Behlen Transportation Company, joined the company in 2022. In 2012, Luis began working as a dock loader at Nor-Am Cold Storage in Schuyler, Nebraska, before becoming warehouse Supervisor. In 2017, he moved to Cargill Protein in Columbus, Nebraska, with the same role. With a background in warehouse shipping and receiving supervision, Luis brings a unique perspective to his role of managing and maintaining all driver credentials and compliances. Luis is dedicated to ensuring the safety and efficiency of our transportation operations.
Luis received his Business Administration degree with a Supervisory Management Certificate from Central Community College in Columbus, Nebraska. He also has a welding degree and forklift operator training.

Shandy has been the General Manager of BMC Transportation since May of 2014. He started his career in 1997 for less-than truckload carrier USF Holland. Starting as a dock supervisor; working up to Terminal Manager at their Memphis, TN facility until 2007. After USF Holland, Shandy worked for Werner Enterprises for 7 years, working as an operations supervisor supporting some of Werner's largest customers. Shandy has a degree in Business Management with an emphasis in Economics from Doane University in Crete, Nebraska.
