BERRYDUNN - Key Persons
As a Manager in BerryDunn's State Government Practice Group, April works directly with public health agencies to provide a variety of services. Her expertise includes grant preparation and management, project management, needs assessments/gap analyses, staffing studies, accreditation preparation, business process analysis/redesign, IT systems planning and selection, organizational change management, and implementation oversight.
Prior to working with BerryDunn, April was an analyst for the County of San Diego in public service areas including supportive housing, self-sufficiency, substance use, and mental health treatment.

Bill specializes in assurance and consulting services for government agencies. His background in audit and forensic accounting provides an informed foundation for services including budget analysis, cost allocation, revenue management, Health Insurance Exchange audits, and information security assessments. Bill utilizes his experience to successfully translate needs for compliance into practical, collaborative projects with the highest degree of accountability.
Bill is the leader of BerryDunn's Government Assurance Practice Group. He has been with BerryDunn since 1988. Bill assists clients with financial compliance, risk management, and information security services.

Connie is a Principal in BerryDunn's Healthcare and Not-For-Profit Groups and leads the Hospital Practice area. She specializes in finance and third-party reimbursement and provides consulting services to numerous healthcare providers, including acute care and critical access hospital providers, physician group practices, rural health clinics and federally qualified health centers. Connie has prepared or reviewed cost reports for many hospitals and their affiliates on the care continuum throughout New England and, through her cost report expertise, developed services for DSH and 340B Program audit requirements. She is an active member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA), serving as a past president and board member of the New Hampshire-Vermont Chapter and is an officer at the regional level.
Connie is a member of BerryDunn's Recovery Advisory Team and has guided her clients through the COVID-19 outbreak with timely information related to the availability of funding sources, waiver or relaxation of healthcare regulations, and changes for telehealth services.

Sarah started at BerryDunn immediately out of college in 1992, working her way up through the ranks, most recently heading up the Not-for-Profit Practice. She has experience in many areas that gives her a unique perspective to help guide client success across industries.
Her intimate knowledge of our culture, coupled with decades of working in direct client service, team development, and collaboration with our diverse practice groups have positioned her to lead the dynamic group that BerryDunn's clients and community have come to expect.
