Hannah Casteel

Hannah Casteel has wanted to be a financial planner since childhood, and is very passionate about helping people reach their financial goals. Hannah started her financial planning career at Balanced Financial Planning (BFP) in 2020. Previously she interned at Plancorp, LLC, a Registered Investment Advisor in St. Louis, Missouri, as well as City Union Mission, a homeless shelter in Kansas City, Missouri. Hannah graduated Magna Cum Laude from Kansas State University with a Bachelor of Science in Personal Financial Planning and the Kansas Insurance Certificate. During her time in college, she was a member of the K-State chapter of the Financial Planners Association and a part of the Student Advisory Board for Powercat Financial, an organization designed to help college students with their financial decisions. Hannah received authorization to utilize the CFP® mark after receiving her CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification from the CFP® Board of Standards in 2022. She is also a member of the Financial Planning Association (FPA) and the National Association of Personal Financial Advisors (NAPFA). Hannah lives in Kansas with her husband, two dogs and a rescue cat. If she is not working you can find Hannah playing sudoku, doing a puzzle, or painting while watching reruns of her favorite television shows.

Jo Ellen Fritz

Jo Ellen enjoys working in financial services and cherishes the relationships she has built with clients. She became a partner (2005) and then principal owner of Balanced Financial Planning, Inc. in 2022. Prior to joining Balanced Financial Planning (BFP), Jo Ellen served as a financial planner with Garrett Financial Planning and was a Vice President of Secondary Marketing with First Mortgage Investment Company. She has also worked in various capacities within the mortgage and student loan industries. Jo Ellen has worked primarily with families while focusing on the planning needs of women who are single, widowed or divorced. She believes that financial planning isn't just about optimizing dollars through compounding but also about giving yourself permission to use your resources to have a happy and meaningful life. She holds a B.A. in Business Administration from the University of Kansas and completed graduate course work geared toward an M.B.A. in Finance through the University of Missouri in Kansas City. She is a member of both the Financial Planning Association (FPA) and the National Association of Personal Financial Advisors (NAPFA). Jo Ellen completed the two-year training and testing program designed by the College for Financial Planning in Denver, Colorado. She received authorization to utilize the CFP® mark of distinction after receiving her CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification from the CFP® Board of Standards in 2001. In 2018 she earned the RICP® designation from The American College of Financial Services. The Retirement Income Certified Professional® focuses on a comprehensive, systematic approach to building efficient retirement income plans. Jo Ellen resides in the Kansas City metro area and was a past board member for her children's school Parent Teacher Association (PTA). She loves spending time with her husband and two grown children but her favorite activity is spending the weekend hiking with her dogs.

Megan Clark

Megan has recently joined the financial planning field as a Client Services Manager. Megan loves to connect with people and help support them on their journey. Her previous career was in the area of mental health where she was for over 10 years. She enjoyed working with staff and community partners to address behavioral health needs. Megan is a graduate of the University of Missouri-Kansas City with a Bachelors in Criminal Justice. She is now dipping her toes in the the study of personal finance. A native of Minnesota, Megan now lives in the Kansas City metro with her husband and two cats, Bruce Springsteen and Stevie Van Zandt. She enjoys traveling, gardening, trying new local restaurants and exploring the city. You can often find her first in line on Saturday mornings at the Overland Park Farmers Market.

Rosemary O. Danielson

Rosemary has been a financial planner in practice for over 30 years. Prior to forming Balanced Financial Planning (BFP) in 2004 she started her career in financial planning in 1986 with a financial planning firm in Lawrence, Kansas. In 1991 she joined the financial planning and asset management firm of Neill & Associates, Inc. in Kansas City, Missouri where she was a partner and portfolio manager. In October 1999 Neill & Associates, Inc. was merged with the investment advisory and asset management subsidiary of a large regional accounting firm. Rosemary holds a B.S. degree in secondary education from the University of Kansas, Lawrence. Completed graduate course work in education and economics at the University of Kansas, Lawrence and San Jose State University, San Jose, California. Rosemary received her CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification from the CFP®Board of Standards in 1990. CFP® professionals must pass the comprehensive CFP® Certification Examination, pass CFP Board's Fitness Standards for Candidates and Registrants, and agree to abide by CFP Board's Code of Ethics and Professional Responsibility and Rules of Conduct and ongoing educational certification requirements. CFP® and CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™are certification marks owned by the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc. Rosemary is a member of the Financial Planning Association (FPA). She is active in promoting awareness of the need for life-saving organ donors. She is a past board member, National Kidney Foundation of Kansas and Western Missouri. Rosemary resides in Texas with her husband. She enjoys traveling and hiking.
