Anne Hébert

Job Titles:
  • Title / CEO
After practicing law for seven years, Anne figured she'd given it enough time to figure out that it really wasn't her cup of tea. Using the writing and research skills she had acquired in law school and at work, she left private practice for work as a policy analyst at the francophone business association, the Conseil économique du Nouveau-Brunswick. Her interest in business and management grew from there and she eventually became the CÉNB's executive director. When Bingham Law announced that they were breaking from the traditional managing partner mold and seeking a CEO, Anne was immediately intrigued by the role which combined both her business and legal backgrounds. Meeting the Bingham team convinced her that this was the job she wanted and she cherishes her role here. Anne resides in her hometown of Bouctouche. A keen interest in seeing her beloved town shine is what made her choose to take on a role on the Pays de la Sagouine board of directors. Her work in economic development really drove home the importance of education in our province and she has also sat on the board of l'APASE, the organization in charge of adult literacy for the francophone community of southeastern New Brunswick as well as the board of governors of the Collège Communautaire du Nouveau-Brunswick. Anne describes herself as pragmatic and level headed, with good judgment and a good sense of humour. Her colleagues would say she makes too many rules.

He also played for the university men's hockey team les Aigles Bleus during his studies. As a teenager Brian played junior hockey with the Oshawa Generals and it was there that he was taught that real success is never measured by individual achievements but rather by the accomplishments of the "Team". Emmy Chiasson

Job Titles:
  • Title / Partner, Litigation
My role is to get a difficult insurance file from "problem" to "fair resolution" as efficiently as possible Emmy understands that the law, legal processes and documents can seem complicated and intimidating to most people. She enjoys working at Bingham where we have worked hard to create a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. While the work is treated seriously, an approachable, casual setting greets the client. Emmy loves rules, structure and order and she enjoys the odd exceptions to the rules as well! That is why insurance policies, with coverages, definitions, exclusions and exceptions appeal to her so much. She chose the insurance litigation field because she enjoys the challenge of putting together the puzzle pieces of a solid litigation strategy, building the case for her client by gathering the necessary evidence and the back and forth of the adversarial process and the negotiation strategies and tactics. After doing insurance litigation for 18 years, when her clients call, they expect her to provide clear answers with no-nonsense strategies, and to accept the challenge of fixing the problem. That is what this strong-willed, adaptable, organized, logical lawyer delivers.
