Davies is a licensed landscape architect and professional planner with over 35 years of diverse experience. He excels in collaborating closely with clients, architects, engineers, and contractors to bring out the potential in each project. Davies received a Bachelor of Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology School of Architecture and Planning. He is the current state trustee and a past president of the New Jersey Chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects. He is a licensed landscape architect and professional planner in New Jersey, and a registered landscape architect in New York, Maine, and Pennsylvania. He is an accredited professional through the United States Green Building Council's Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED). Davies has taught design and construction courses as a visiting lecturer for the landscape architecture program at Cook College, Rutgers University, and has also served on the advisory board of the university's landscape architecture department. Some of his recent local projects include campus designs for Kean University and Fairleigh Dickinson University, park designs for the Somerset County Park Commission, athletic field and playground designs for Madison and Florham Park, and downtown improvements for Livingston, Spring Valley, NY, and Chatham. Davies has also designed landscapes for many fine residences in New Jersey and has also developed corporate campus landscape designs for clients such as Sprint and Prudential. Other projects include major reconstructions of New York City parks, campus planning and athletic facilities for schools, large-scale land planning studies, and government and institutional site designs.
