Billy Moore joined Blair Construction in 1982 shortly after graduating high school and remains one of the longest-tenured employees on the Blair team. He is a concrete foreman specializing in foundations and footings, and he prides himself on a career with the company that spans more than 40 years.

Bobby Adkins

Bobby Adkins has been a project manager for Blair Construction since 2008. Bobby spends his days managing the operation of projects, ordering materials, and coordinating scheduling. He credits his love of construction to his father's career as a carpenter and handyman and carries on this natural connection with building and construction with his career at Blair Construction.

Chris Taylor

Chris Taylor has been a Superintendent with Blair Construction since 2013. He came to Blair with over 20 years of overall construction experience. In his work, he keeps the job site and workers safe by planning and laying out the jobs with subcontractors and owners. Chris especially enjoys the challenge of bigger jobs and the entirety of the process, from groundbreaking to owner training.

Curtis English

Former English Construction owner Curtis English helped Blair get his first bonds, insuring the construction work and allowing for bids on public jobs in the early 1980s. That insurance relationship still exists today through English's granddaughter, Whitney Dalton Melton.

Eddie Atkins

Eddie Atkins has been a superintendent with Blair Construction since 1998. In his time working on schools, medical facilities, commercial, and electrical facilities, he has enjoyed the ability to work outside and see a project grow from nothing to a finished product. In particular, he loves finding that spot where a construction project creates a win-win scenario between owners, architects and the construction company itself. "In my 33 years of construction experience, I've never seen a company bring such a personal touch to each project as Blair Construction. The company owner is involved or has knowledge of each and every project, creating a unique management relationship that distinguishes us from other companies."

Fred A. Blair

Fred Blair is the owner of Blair Construction. He grew up working with his father, ultimately taking over the family business from his father, William Addison Blair, in 1976. Since then, Fred has dedicated his life to growing Blair Construction into the thriving, relationship business it is today. After taking leadership of the company, Fred made the decision to focus on transitioning from residential to commercial construction. This shift has paid off for Blair Construction, which continuously grew under his leadership.

Heath Creasy

Heath Creasy has been a superintendent with Blair Construction for since 2006. He came to Blair with over 16 years of industry experience to supervise and oversee construction projects in both the commercial and industrial sectors.

James Eames

James Eames has been a superintendent with Blair Construction since 2010. In his day-to-day role, he brings his 30-year construction industry experience to managing job sites for commercial, industrial, and luxury residential construction projects. "I entered the field of construction to follow in my father's footsteps. I'm proud to continue that tradition with Blair because it's a company that is strong and innovative. We're always looking for new options and ways to do things."

Jesse Pruitt

Jesse Pruitt joined Blair Construction in 1989 as a laborer and has held the role of superintendent for more than 15 years. His job duties include general project oversight and supervision of subcontractors, while his skill set includes nearly every necessary trade on the job. As of 2023, he is the third-longest tenured employee at Blair Construction.

Jim Bogue

Jim Bogue came to work for Blair Construction, Inc. as a project manager in 2017 with 30 years prior construction experience. He currently oversees the New Charlotte County Courthouse project for Blair and has managed a wide variety of construction projects for the company as well. His expertise in large commercial construction coupled with his close attention to detail has proven to be a great asset to Blair. "After many decades in the business, it's still fun to come to work at Blair. What sets Blair apart? We have got some of the best people here that you can imagine, and I've been around enough to see that and know that. Some of the best people in the business work at Blair."

Josh Hyler

Josh Hyler joined Blair Construction in 2021 as an estimator. He has a bachelor's degree in construction management from East Carolina University and nearly two decades of professional experience. At Blair, his primary responsibilities consist of developing and preparing project estimates and other related cost development tasks.

Melissa Hines

Melissa Hines joined Blair Construction as an administrative specialist in May 2022. She handles administrative duties, including customer service, payroll, accounts payable, shipping, mail distribution and a multitude of other tasks. A certified nursing assistant, she spent nearly a decade in the health care field as both a nursing assistant and medical assistant in facilities across Southern Virginia. She is from Gretna, Va., and graduated from Gretna High School just five miles from Blair Construction's office.

Nick Lee

Nick Lee has been an assistant project manager for Blair Construction since 2019. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Construction Engineering Technology from East Tennessee State University and holds a Department of Conservation and Recreation Responsible Land Disturbers Certification. Nick's responsibilities include estimating projects and managing the operation of projects, including ordering materials and scheduling.

Pamela Mattox

Pamela Mattox has been an administrative assistant with Blair Construction since 2007. She brings 20 years of experience in office management and accounts payable and receivable to the team. Her daily duties include assisting the leadership team. She particularly enjoys the fast-paced life of the office as she handles the administrative details for Blair construction project managers, coordinates documentation with the accounting department, and performs other office duties.

Peyton Hogan

Peyton Hogan joined Blair Construction in March of 2023 as accounts payable and payroll administrator. Her responsibilities include oversight of Blair's payroll process, management of accounting records and business transactions, coordination with project managers on vendor and data management, and other administrative duties. A native of Altavista, Hogan has held numerous roles as an administrative assistant and payroll specialist in neighboring counties, including, most recently, at Moore's Electrical & Mechanical in Altavista and Valtim Marketing Solutions in Forest. She is a graduate of the combined Altavista High School and is also a certified nurse aide.

Randy Payne

Randy Payne has been a superintendent with Blair Construction since 1994. Randy uses his status as a State Certified Carpenter and Virginia Employment Commission Apprentice to maintain continuity between sub-trades and to coordinate materials, deliveries, and scheduling. "I love every day at work because I get to work with my hands and ‘get it done!' There's nothing like seeing an end result to your hard work. It's that special relationship between contractors and owners that sets Blair Construction apart."

Rick Sigmon

Rick Sigmon joined BMB, Inc. as a building contractor in June 2019. He oversees all phases of pre-engineered metal building processes, including estimating, bidding, and coordinating and managing teams of engineers, architects, client representatives and general contractors. A specialist in custom home framing, siding and roofing, he has experience as a business owner and general contractor. He is from Rocky Mount, Va.

Robert Morton

Robert Morton began his career with Blair Construction as a part-time employee and transitioned into a full-time assistant project manager in May of 2021. Previously, Morton attended Virginia Tech where he received a B.S. in building construction with a focus in sustainable building performance and minored in agribusiness management and entrepreneurship. Morton helps manage ongoing projects, meets with new clients, and creates estimates. "Blair Construction has given me the opportunity to begin my career post-college in the construction industry by allowing me to participate in a wide array of tasks to help develop me as a professional. I am able to put into practice the knowledge I learned at Virginia Tech by helping Blair Construction be a successful company."
