The Biomedical Diagnostics (BM/d) Research Laboratory is part of the Signal Processing Systems Group at the Eindhoven University of Technology. The lab is devoted to model-based quantitative analysis of biomedical signals, taking into account the full measurement chain. Signals of interest derive from a wide spectrum of acquisitions, ranging from MR and ultrasound imaging up to electrophysiological and photoplethysmographic recordings. The main application areas are oncology, cardiovascular, gynecology-perinatology, sleep, and neuromuscular research... The lab is chaired by Prof. Mischi, supported by a multidisciplinary team integrating expertise in modeling (Dr. Rabotti & Dr. Turco), signal/image analysis (Dr. Xu & Dr. Arsenali), and pattern recognition (Dr. Vullings & Dr. van Sloun)... Clinical relevance is our commitment, achieved through close collaboration with selected clinical/industrial partners and advisors.
