Kareen Mckoy is the Director of Nursing at Boca Raton Rehabilitation and Nursing with 15+ years of experience in the Nursing Industry. As the Director of Nursing at Boca Raton Rehab, she oversees the Nursing department to ensure nursing staff is extending compassionate care to all residents and by extension to their loved ones as well. She coordinates with the Nursing team and the facility IDT team to ensure all resident receive the best quality of care. The focus of care ranges from the knowledge of the nursing team to ensure continued competency and confidence in the nurses to appropriately care for the residents. Ms. Mckoy formerly participated in working in CCRC community as An ADON and assisted with implementing policies and procedures as well as extensive training related to regulatory guidelines. She assisted the company with training and competency in the area of the EMAR system during their transitional phase to convert from paper to an Electronic Medical administration Records system. On a personal level Kareen is a mother of 3 children, which is noted to be her greatest accomplishment. She enjoys music (R&B) and cooking cultural food as she come from an Island Background. She values respect and courtesy and makes that an emphasis in her leadership style (Leading With respect as a basic principle). Kareen's Goal at Boca Raton is to promote great customer service and the Best Quality of Care for all Residents.
Winie Cheriscar comes to Boca Raton Health and Rehabilitation Center with over 14 years of long-term care experience. Her motivation for becoming an administrator started when she worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in which she fell in love with the geriatric population. She vowed to exceed in the skilled nursing industry to be an advocate and the change that she wanted to see in health care. During her 14 years she has worked in the capacity of Activities, Admissions Director, Liaison, Administrator in Training until she graduated from the prestigious university of South Florida with a degree in Long Term Care administration and the rest is history! She is now a nursing home administrator. She is happy in this field as she found her heart passion and desire. If you can't find her in her office just know she is dancing away with the residents during activities and/or rounding on the floor. She is committed, industrious and compassionate.
