Paul has over 30 years' experience as an architect and was an early adopter and expert in sustainable design. He became a Passive House Consultant in 2011. After a brief stint as a music major, he completed his bachelor of science in mechanical engineering at the University of Utah and his master in architecture from the University of Virginia. With this engineering foundation, he integrates technical and aesthetic principals in his architectural designs. He taught architectural design and structures as an adjunct faculty member at Philadelphia University's School of Architecture and Design and at the Tyler School of Art's Architecture Program at Temple University. Previously, he was a principal at IEI Architects in Philadelphia and was responsible for design, documentation and management of a variety of architectural, interior design, new construction, historic and renovation projects from 5,000 sf - 200,000 sf. Paul was the project architect for residential projects, including the Carcieri Residence, a custom designed home featured in Rhode Island Monthly and in Home Magazine while at William Kite Architects in Providence, Rhode Island. BluPath Design works closely with our clients to design simple, elegant and environmentally sensitive spaces that inspire. We believe that beauty is fundamental to sustainable design. We seek out mission driven clients and design to help our clients and communities thrive. When you walk into a space designed by BluPath, you see the splendor of light, texture and color. BluPath translates your vision into spaces that are purposeful, durable, comfortable, and imbued with the mission of your business or spirit of your life. Our aesthetics go beyond the visual to incorporate tactile pleasure, acoustic and thermal comfort. Good design is a balance of right and left brain thinking. An artist's sensitivity, experience and intuition provide inspired moments to express your dream and distinguishing it from the average. Color, texture, culture, context, layering, and composition are used to create buildings that delight and inspire. These concepts are applied with rational and practical organization of spaces and selection of durable, low maintenance materials resulting in spaces that endure.
