Dr Colette Barry graduated from University College Dublin. She completed her general professional training in Ireland and Boston and then went on to complete her Specialist training in General Internal Medicine. She worked with the RCSI for a number of years as Head of Clinical Teaching. Dr Barry has gained extensive experience in all medical subspecialty areas having worked in Irish and U.S. hospitals. During this time she undertook acute unselected medical call. Working as Consultant Physician in the Bon Secours Hospital Dublin, Dr Barry leads the General Internal Medicine team. With over 20 years' experience working as a Consultant Physician Dr Barry will explore patient's medical history to include all medical subspecialty areas. Dr Barry will organise appropriate investigations and treatment. Patients can be seen in rooms and admitted to the hospital when in patient care is required. Patients can also attend for General Medical Review/Medical screening. Dr Barry is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland and with her interest in medical education she is an Honorary Senior Lecturer with the RCSI. Dr Barry provides patients with early appointments and working with her secretary Celine they provide a personal and efficient service.

Biography Dr Rory McQuillan graduated from University College Dublin in 2002 and completed higher medical training in nephrology and internal medicine. He moved to Canada in 2009 for his fellowship training. He received a Master of Science in medical education from the University of Toronto and a Masters in Quality Improvement through the department of Veteran Affairs (VAQS) and was recruited as faculty at the University of Toronto in 2011. Dr McQuillan was promoted to the rank of Associate Professor at University of Toronto on the basis of his work in medical education and quality improvement. He established an interventional nephrology program at UofT, introduced simulation-based mastery learning and point of care ultrasound and served as the director of the VAQS site in Toronto. His work has been published in numerous peer reviewed journal articles and book chapters and has been presented as an invited speaker at international conferences.

Legal Medicine: At her Legal Medicine Clinic, Dr. Leader assesses victims of post accident and abuse trauma and specialises in post traumatic stress disorder. She has assessed thousands of victims of institutional abuse, has frequently attended hearings before the Residential Institutions Redress Board and is a recognised expert in the field. She has experience and expertise in determining capacity relating to issues such as ward of court, enduring power of attorney, consent to fair deal etc. Dr. Leader is a consultant to Injuries Board.ie (the Personal Injuries Assessment Board). Liaison Psychiatry: Dr. Leader combines her legal medicine practice with clinical work in the Bon Secours Hospital, St. Vincent's University Hospital and St. John of God Hospital. She is a consultant to the Mental Health Commission. Training: Dr. Leader trained in psychiatry in Guy's Hospital London and St. Vincent's University Hospital Dublin. She was the tutor in psychiatry in St. Vincent's University Hospital for three years. She is experienced in general adult psychiatry and in liaison psychiatry.

Biography Geraldine graduated from UCD in 1991 and worked widely throughout the Irish Healthcare system completing her MRCPI in 1994. She was instrumental in establishing a virtual medical assessment program and admission avoidance pathways in St Vincent's University Hospital, establishing some of the first formalised out patient pathways in the country. She gained a variety of international experience working in Australia and the Middle East. On her return to Ireland in 2014, Geraldine assumed the role of clinical lead in the AMAU in Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda. She joined the Bon Secours Hospital Dublin in summer 2016 as clinical lead of the hospitals MAU which which closed during the COVID pandemic, but where she headed up a team of registrars, nurses and allied health professionals.

Dr. Yahya Kamal is a fellow of Royal College of Obstetrician and Gynaecologists in London. He has been working in Ireland since 1996. with over 30 years of experience in obstetrics and gynaecology. He obtained his medical degree in 1989, from the Dow Medical University, Karachi, Pakistan and has been a member and trainer of the British Society of Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology. Dr. Kamal spent five years working as a Specialist Registrar in several teaching hospitals in Ireland and obtained CSCST (certificate of satisfactory completion) of specialist training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology from Royal College of Physicians of Ireland. He has been an Assistant Master at both the Coombe Women's University Hospital and Rotunda Hospital, between 2008 and 2010. He was then appointed as a Consultant Obstetrician & Gynaecologist at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital Drogheda and the Louth County Hospital Dundalk in July 2010, and served as a Lead Colposcopist at the North East Regional Colposcopy Unit Dundalk from January 2010. He has been working as a Consultant Gynaecologist in the Rotunda Hospital Dublin since May 2011. Dr. Kamal is actively involved in Irish National Cervical Screening Programme and he is one of the leading consultants at the Colposcopy Unit, Rotunda Hospital Dublin. He performs two Colposcopy Clinics per week at the Rotunda Hospital Dublin and private Colposcopy in his rooms here at Blackrock Health Hermitage Clinic. Paul Sullivan graduated with honours in Medicine from UCD (2002) before completing the RCSI Basic Surgical Training Program from 2005-7. Paul spent the next two years undertaking a research MD from NUI, Galway whilst gaining experience in clinical plastic surgery. The next two years were as part of the RCSI plastic surgery residency leading to the RCSI Higher Surgical Specialist Training Program completed in 2014 with awarding of an FRCSI(Plast) and CCST (Certificate Completion of Specialist Training). In 2014 Mr Sullivan began fellowship training in Hand Surgery in the world renowned St Andrews Centre, Chelmsford, UK for a year followed by a second year in Ortho-plastic Hand surgery in Middlemore Hospital, Auckland, NZ. In 2016 he successfully completed the FEBHS (Fellow European Board of Hand Surgery) exam in Santander, Spain and joined the specialist register of the Irish medical Council. James Forde, an honours medical graduate of University College Dublin (2005), completed his specialist urological training in Ireland in 2015. In 2010 he was awarded the degree of Doctor in Medicine (M.D) from Trinity College Dublin for his investigation of novel treatments for prostate cancer. He became a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland in Urology in 2014. More recently, he has completed a Fellowship in Voiding Dysfunction at Weill-Cornell Medical College/New York Presbyterian Hospital in New York City. Under the guidance of renowned international experts, the fellowship encompassed female and male voiding dysfunction issues, in particular the surgical management of female incontinence and pelvic organ prolapse repair as well as post prostatectomy incontinence, urethral reconstruction and the management of benign prostatic hyperplasia. He also developed expertise in novel treatments for the management of these conditions using the latest technology available including GreenLight laser vaporization of benign prostatic disease and sacral neuromodulation for overactive bladder. James has authored over 30 peer reviewed urology publications to date, and has presented his research at national and international meetings. He was a lead investigator in a national study assessing PSA testing throughout Ireland. He has collaborated on the development of Irish national guidelines for the role of active surveillance for low risk prostate cancer. He has an MSc in Medical Informatics from University College Dublin (2010). Other awards and grants include the Irish Society of Urology research medal (2010), the RCSI Ethicon Foundation Grant (2015), and the RCSI-Anthony Walsh/Ipsen Travelling Fellowship in Urology (2015). In 2014 he was invited to the annual meeting of The European Section of Oncological Urology (ESOU), an honour awarded to only 15 trainees internationally annually.

Mark graduated from University College Dublin with an MB, BCh, BAO (Hons.) degree in 2003. Following his internship in St. Vincent's University Hospital, Dublin, he was appointed to the Dublin Regional Basic Surgical Training Scheme which I completed in Tallaght Hospital, Dublin, between 2004-2006. During his time there, he was awarded the Kinnear medal for NCHD surgical teaching excellence, voted for by Final year Medical students. He was awarded a CCBST and was conferred the IMRCS degree in 2006. From 2006-2008, he completed a full-time MD degree in University College Dublin on the effect of gender on intra- and post-obstructive renal injury in the rat having secured a £25,000GBP British Urology Foundation grant. Mark returned to clinical practice in 2008 having been appointed to the Irish Surgical Residency Programme. In 2011 he was appointed to the Urology Higher Surgical Training Programme which he completed in July 2016. He was conferred FRCS Urol in 2015 and was awarded the MacGowan medal by RCSI for the best Intercollegiate Fellowship exam result achieved by an Irish trainee across all specialties in that calendar year. Mark was awarded a CCST in 2016 and is currently registered on the Irish Medical Council's Specialist Register. From 2016-2018, he completed a Fellowship programme in The Austin Hospital, Melbourne, with a special interest in Endourology, particularly in the area of urolithiasis. He then worked as Consultant Urologist in The Mater Private Hospital, Cork for a year before taking up my current post in Blanchardstown, Beaumont and Monaghan hospitals. Mark is also an honorary clinical lecturer with RCSI and won the Beaumont Hospital RCSI excellence in clinical teaching award in 2021, voted for by Final year Medical students. Professor Burke returned to Ireland on his appointment as a Consultant Respiratory Physician in Connolly and Mater University Hospitals and subsequently as Professor of Medicine in UCD. He served a three-year term as Clinical Director in Connolly Hospital/Royal College of Surgeons Hospital Group. Professor Conor Burk is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians in Ireland, a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians in London, a Fellow of the College of Chest Physicians (U.S.A.) and a Fellow of the Faculty of Sports and Exercise Medicine (RCSI). He served four terms as International Regent and later International Governor of the College of Chest Physicians, U.S.A. Professor Burke has served on Government Committees; the Health Research Board; The Council of the Royal College of Physicians in Ireland. He has also served as Vice President of the College and as Honorary Medical Advisor to the Adoption Board. Professor Conor Burke has established international collaborations and post-graduate training programmes with his Alma Mater in Stanford University, Imperial College, London, London University and the University of Western Australia. He has delivered over 200 invited presentations to international medical and scientific societies and published over 100 papers in peer reviewed international medical and scientific journals. His post-doctoral thesis was awarded by UCD for his original contributions in Human Lung Transplantation. Professor Burke delivered the 38th Annual Graves Lecture by invitation of the Royal Academy of Medicine in Ireland. He is the recipient of Research Awards in particular from the American College of Chest Physicians and the EU. His specialist interests in Respiratory Medicine include asthma, bronchitis and inflammatory disease, occupational lung disease and lung transplantation. Professor Burke has authored medical, legal and occupational health reports for twenty years. He has served as an expert witness in many High Court Litigations. He has completed the Harvard University Law School Dispute Mediation Programme allowing him to offer additional mediation services.
