Owners Michael Giffin and Steve Giffin and their staff are known for their professionalism, understanding of complex development-related issues, and aggressively representing their clients' interests.
Michael Giffin, founder and president of B&G Consultants and formerly a senior construction manager for Trammell Crow Company, Morrison-Knudsen and Daniel International, has 40 years of development and construction industry experience. A solid professional known for his diplomatic, results-oriented approach to team management, Mike has managed over $2.5 billion in development and construction projects. Examples include worldwide campuses for Cisco Systems, San Diego International Airport, National University's Central Library, ADFlex Solutions in Sonora, Mexico, San Diego Yacht Club, Hazard Center, a mixed-use office/retail/hotel complex in Mission Valley, and numerous projects for Sempra Energy and its local subsidiary San Diego Gas & Electric, including the recently completed Sempra HQ Tower in downtown San Diego.
Steve Giffin graduated from Purdue University in 2009 after completing the Cooperative Education Program, allowing him to complete nearly two years of Field Engineering internships with Charles Pankow Builders, Ltd. In Los Angeles while achieving a degree in Civil Engineering. Upon graduation, Steve moved home to San Diego and worked for C.W. Driver Companies as a Project Engineer, Estimator, and Project Manager. While at C.W. Driver, Steve worked on a variety of projects such as County of San Diego's Fallbrook Library, Storm and Nasatir Hall Expansions at San Diego State University, and the Grossmont Nursing Tower Renovation for Sharp Healthcare. In December 2014, Steve joined B&G as Project Manager to assist in the completion of Sempra Energy's new HQ project in Downtown San Diego. Steve has nearly 15 years' experience in construction and development management, and has become a trusted resource for Owner's Representation expertise in San Diego.
