Your hot air balloon adventures will be piloted by Scott Cohrs, the owner and chief pilot of Bonaire Charters. Scott has been flying commercially in Charlottesville and the surrounding areas for over 23 years and still loves his job! He is one of Central Virginia's most experienced pilots and instructors with thousands of hours logged in a hot air balloon. Scott completed his private and commercial licensing in Richmond, Virginia, then moved to Charlottesville for the scenic and historical aspects of the Blue Ridge Mountains and Central Virginia. Scott also has an extensive background in sailing providing him with exceptional knowledge of winds and weather patterns to offer you a safe and lighter-then-air aviation experience.
