Allen Opfer

Allen is a founding partner of BORArchitecture. His career has focused on providing "hands-on" architectural service to clients throughout the Central Washington area. His design experience includes dozens of higher education, municipal and commercial projects ranging from new facilities to complicated renovations. He is by nature a detail oriented person who is well suited to administer and abundant variety of projects. He has developed tried and true skills providing project budget development for Capital Funding Requests and Bond Issue preparation for Columbia Basin College, West Valley School District, Yakima Valley Community College and Yakima Fire Department to name a few. Allen takes pride in the development of well coordinated construction documents. He follows these documents with thorough construction administration during which he visits the job site frequently to answer questions, meet with the Owner and monitor project progress. Cecilia Arroyo

Cecilia's skills stem from her passion and drive to create solutions within the built environment for clients of BORArchitecture. She believes the interactions between a person and his/her space can positively impact the body, mind, and health. She seeks innovative and creative synergies between architecture, design, lighting, nature, technology, and science to achieve this goal. Cecilia's experience within corporate, educational, healthcare, and community sectors has provided her with invaluable knowledge which she applies to every project. Dave Carson

Job Titles:

Dave started his career as an electrical and systems engineer on the west side of Washington State where he discovered he had a passion for architectural design. He returned to school to obtain a Master of Architecture and a Master of Urban and Regional Planning. He began his career with BORArchitecture in 2013 and during his time with the firm has proven himself to be an invaluable member of the team. He is known for his commitment to the team dynamic and demonstrates this daily by the manner in which he interacts with members of the team and clients. Jacquie Coleman

Jacquie moved to Yakima to start her career with BORArchitecture in 2015. During her time with the firm she has proven herself to be an invaluable member of the team. Her learning has advanced very quickly earning her assignments of increasing difficulty and responsibility. Jacquie has further distinguished herself in the design of large scale project signage. Kylie Kerber

Kylie began her design career in Meridian, Idaho working with educational facilities after graduating from the University of Idaho in 2021. Her passion to create an experience for clients and patrons in a built environment drives each project she works on. With experience in selecting materials, marketing, and project coordinating, BORArchitecture has utilized her knowledge and skillset throughout the firm. Matt Reed

After successfully starting his career with ten years at CSHQA, a multi-disciplinary Architectural & Engineering firm in Boise, Idaho, Matt relocated to Yakima to continue his career at BORArchitecture as a team leader and project architect. Matt became a principal of the firm in 2022 and is a passionate believer in the team approach to project development. He works to bring the projects, scope, schedule, and budget in balance with the client's goals. Scott Kunnanz

Job Titles:

Scott returned to BORArchitecture in 2018 and brings a wealth of technical knowledge from his previous position at a large Seattle firm. Since his early childhood watching the construction of the Fred G. Redmon Bridge he has been drawn to the technical elements of architecture. He has since specialized in the use of technology and its application in pushing the boundaries of design. He is known for his attention to detail as well as his solid expertise in solving complex problems in design with the help of technological platforms like Revit. Scott always puts the client's goals and vision first in every project. Sheri Brockway

Sheri was a founding member of BORArchitecture. She has dedicated her career to providing clients with personal architectural service. She endeavors to create a team atmosphere with all clients and design committees, as well as to help all those she works with to feel a valued part of the process. Her skills include the ability to draw important programming information from design committees, to ensure that all clients/committee members feel that they have been heard, and to bring committees to consensus on difficult issues. Sheri pays close attention to client needs so that she is able to identify critical data and document it for inclusion in the design. She ensures that programming intent is carried through project design to completion and remains a constant, involved part of project development. She prides herself on the long term relationships that she has built with her clients and strives to turn each new client into a repeat client. Wes Edwards

Wes joined BORArchitecture in 2009 and became a principal of the firm at the beginning of 2022. Prior to coming to Yakima, Wes was in private practice as a principal in the firm of Ruby Edwards Architecture & Design in Boise, Idaho. During Wes' career he has demonstrated his capability to lead complex, multimillion dollar projects while successfully managing tight schedules and budgets. Yvonne Luttrell

Job Titles:
  • Office Manager
Yvonne was born and raised in the Yakima Valley and continues to call Yakima home. Her vast 40 years of experience in business, as an Office Manager to Administrator, encompasses manufacturing to the professional service industry. Yvonne has been active in the Architectural field for the past 12 years. She enjoys working closely with our staff, clients, and contractors.
