Our door carpentry is located in the outermost coastline in Bohuslän on the Swedish west coast. When the carpentry was started in the 1940s, our wooden doors were sold in the immediate area. The builders knew that solid materials and stable constructions were required for the doors to withstand the harsh weather. And we continue to build our doors in solid wood according to our original methods... Bovalls Dörrbyggeri is run by Eva and Inger Gustafsson. When Bengt Gustafsson founded the company in 1943, he set out to manufacture robust, quality doors for the local community of boathouse and house owners in and around Bovallstrand. Doors that would withstand the harsh weather conditions of the Swedish west coast. Since then, we have worked according to the same standards and quality ever since...
