BRIER PAYNE MEADE INSURANCE - Key Persons
Holmes Meade founded the Meade Company in 1921 to meet the community's growing demand for insurance. (The Topeka population had grown by more than 33% in twenty years.) In addition to serving as President of the Kansas Association of Insurance Agents, Holmes also served in the Kansas House of Representatives from 1929-1931.
John B. Payne joined Brier Payne Insurance as a partner with Dennis III in the Topeka based agency. John brought with him many years of insurance experience working in the construction and non-profit sector in the Springfield, Missouri area.

Tim Payne partnered with Rob Metzler - formerly of Metzler Brothers Insurance - to acquire the agency from Dennis III and John Payne. This marked the 3rd generation of Paynes to lead the Topeka based insurance agency.
