Brett employed Dave Detweiler as the first member of the BKB team in 1984. Dave began work on a part time basis during his apprenticeship with Upper Bucks Technical School, and upon graduating received the highest honor in his carpentry class and joined the company full-time. Dave is a tremendous asset to the business, contributing his numerous and valuable skills, along with detail-orientation and a commitment to excellence. Dave enjoys spending time with his wife Amy by taking walks, working on their garden, and vacationing together. They have servant hearts, and enjoy hosting guests from their home in Blooming Glen.
The co-owner of Brett King Builder-Contractor, Inc. is Kim King. Kim is Brett's wife and supports his efforts and contributes her energy and enthusiasm. Prior to children, Kim taught school by day and performed the growing company's bookkeeping by night. As she began home schooling their two children, Kim handed over her office duties to other staff. She is educated in interior design and now, with the children grown, she is again an active team member and specializes in guiding our clients through the product selection aspect of remodeling. In her spare time, she likes to sew, cook, and use her design skills in many creative ways that include Living Hope Church events and projects. Her favorite pastime is spending time with her family and enjoys exercise as Brett's "back seat driver" on their tandem bicycle.

From the moment he could walk, Nate could be found holding his blue plastic hammer by Brett's side. He has assisted in the family business since childhood, and graduated from Philadelphia Biblical (Cairn) University with a Bachelor's degree in Business. Nate is multi-talented, and contributes not only his inherited carpentry abilities, but skills and computer savvy that bridges to the new generation of remodeling.
Like his father, Nathan is passionate about Jesus Christ and leads a couples bible study with his wife of 3 years, Kara. He recently wrapped up some renovations of his own on his home property in rural Bedminster.
Brett was in search of a lead carpenter and selected Rick Seifert to join the BKB team in February, 2005. Rick quickly proved himself to be an exceptionally gifted and talented craftsman, who enjoys the project challenges and many rewards that come with remodeling. His passion for carpentry and outstanding craftsman abilities never cease to impress our clients. Rick is invested in his church, attends bible study, and during his free time, Rick is often found taking walks with his children and his wife Rachel near their residence in Quakertown, and enjoys music and singing.

Managing our office on a day to day basis is Terri Dalavai, our Bookkeeper and Office Manager. After raising her two children Emilie and Max, Terri decided to make a shift back to the office and bookkeeping after 15 years as a preschool teacher. She has advanced certificates in Bookkeeping, Payroll, and Quick Books while working on an accounting degree. Terri enjoys the variety of duties that comes with working in a small office. She enjoys being ahead of projects and keeping our books up to date. Terri and her husband, Valentine are long time members of First Baptist Church of Perkasie. They have served in a variety of ways at First Baptist and continue to look for ways to minister and encourage others. As parents of adult children, Terri and Valentine continue to look for creative ways to support Max, Emilie and son-in-law Darrin. Terri's favorite things are spending time with Valentine, finding fun activities to do with the her kids, hanging out with friends, and reading mystery books.
