Blaine is a trial attorney. Blaine has an extensive background in litigation including trying hundreds of cases. Blaine has substantial experience as a presiding judge for Pendleton Municipal Court, now a Court of Record. Blaine is also an experienced mediator and arbitrator.
Bob represents businesses and individuals in all aspects of construction, including forming new construction companies, buying and selling businesses and real estate, managing construction projects, and enforcing and defending against a variety of construction claims. Bob also litigates a wide range of real estate and business disputes.
Cary assists small business owners in all facets of their operations and achieves creative resolutions to personal and commercial disputes while providing exceptional services in an efficient and cost-effective manner. While many disputes resolve through settlement, Cary prepares as though they will not.
Charles Markley is proficient in Uniform Commercial Code as well as business real estate.
Charles Markley joins us from Williams Kastner. Charles graduated from Oregon's own Lewis & Clark law school. He then went on to open his own practice, Greene & Markley, along with his partner, Ward Green. For 32 years together they honed their expertise in debtor-creditor work, representing banks and commercial landlords. We are pleased that Charles has brought to our practice his proficiency in Uniform Commercial Code as well as business real estate. In his downtime, Charles enjoys building and racing cars with his son.
Doug specializes in commercial litigation, domestic relations, and personal injury matters.
Emilee's practice focuses on civil litigation primarily in the areas of construction defect, commercial litigation, and personal injury. She represents clients who have been financially or physically injured to resolve their injuries and legal claims effectively and efficiently.
Greg specializes in employee benefits including retirement, health, and executive compensation programs. His practice includes representing multiemployer Taft-Hartley benefit trusts, as well as single employers. Greg also regularly assists nonprofit organizations with their formation, obtaining tax exempt status, and operational matters.
Jim maintains a diverse practice assisting individuals, businesses, and medical professionals.
Kathryn's practice focuses on probate and probate litigation, such as will contests. She also handles guardianships, conservatorships, and estate planning.
Kathryn helps people deal with financial issues after the death of a loved one through probate and other options. She also helps people navigate legal issues when someone has become too incapacitated to live independently and manage their money by helping them establish guardianships and conservatorships. Kathryn also helps people create estate plans. Where applicable, Kathryn draws on her experience in family law, bankruptcy, landlord-tenant, and juvenile dependency to creatively solve her clients' problems. Kathryn has been an attorney for more than 25 years. She built litigation experience as a prosecutor in Clatsop County and then opened her own law practice in Astoria. From 2010 to 2013, Kathryn ran the Columbia County Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) program. Since 2013, she has practiced with various law firms in the metro area. Before she began her legal career, Kathryn worked as a journalist, including covering Congress and the U.S. Supreme Court for a trade newsletter in Washington, D.C.
Kent practices real estate law in Oregon and Washington and advises Oregon businesses.

Mary advises business owners and other individuals about business transactions, estates, wills, trusts, and business succession.
Mary serves as Co-Chair of the Membership Committee of Oregon Women Lawyers (OWLS), and she previously served as President of Queen's Bench, the Multnomah County Chapter of OWLS. Mary was a co-founder of the Oregon State Bar Taxation Section Mentor Program, and she has mentored several new lawyers through that program as well as the Oregon State Bar New Lawyer Mentor Program.
Matt's practice focuses on all aspects of litigation. He tries jury cases to verdict and handles motion hearings, depositions, arbitrations, and mediations.
Matthew is a Portland native who graduated from Lincoln High School in 2000. When he is not representing the firm's clients, Matthew spends his free time with his wife and four children. He enjoys coaching their youth sports teams and is an occasional bicycle commuter.
Matthew is an experienced trial lawyer who is dedicated to achieving the best possible results for his clients. He has tried more than two dozen jury trials through verdict and has extensive experience in all aspects of litigation, including motion hearings, depositions, arbitrations, and mediations. Matthew has been consistently selected by his peers as an Oregon Super Lawyers Rising Star since 2014, a distinction awarded to no more than 2.5 percent of Oregon lawyers. Matthew's practice has an emphasis on representing individuals who have suffered serious personal injuries. He handles cases involving wrongful death and catastrophic injuries, including trucking collisions, workplace injuries, and injuries suffered by motorcyclists, bicyclists, and pedestrians in both state and federal courts. Committed to a diverse and well-rounded practice in service of his clients' needs, Matthew also has experience in commercial, real estate, construction, and general business litigation. Matthew joined Brownstein Rask in 2011. Before joining Brownstein Rask, Matthew worked primarily as a criminal defense attorney and has worked for the Metropolitan Public Defenders and the Federal Defenders, as well as being in private practice. Matthew is on the arbitration panel for Multnomah County Circuit Court, where he is appointed by the court to serve as an arbitrator. He is currently serving on the Judicial Screening Committee for Multnomah County.
Norm's only area of practice, since 1979, is workers' compensation. He devotes 95% of his time to representing injured workers subject to the Longshore and Harbor Workers' Compensation Act and Defense Base Act and the remainder of his time representing injured workers subject to the Oregon Compensation Act.

Richard's practice focuses on personal injury and maritime law. He represents injured workers under the Longshore and Harbor Workers' Compensation Act and the Defense Base Act.
Mr. Mann has been a speaker on LHWCA and maritime injury topics at seminars sponsored by the Northwest Longshore Administrators' Association and Workers' Injury Law and Advocacy Group (WILG).
