The BTRC is a locally owned and operated shortline railway located in south-central Manitoba. We were formed by local farmers in 2008 with the goal of preventing the removal of a portion of CP track that had been abandoned and was scheduled for salvage. Upon successful purchase of the track, our group established the BTRC in order to re-establish local shipping options for producers, enhance competition from grain buyers, and preserve rail infrastructure for use by local communities and businesses...
