Brian Wetherall - CTO, Founder

After learning the CNC machining business and then heading up the milling section at a successful CNC machining company for 15 years, Brian decided to strike out on his own with Brotech. Over the next 15 years, Brian and Brotech developed a reputation for ultra-high precision parts. His creative approach to machining and fixturing allowed him to achieve tolerances not attainable by others. In 2010, Brian and Jerome partnered to transform and grow the business further. Throughout Brotech's development, Brian's vision has always been about investing in the best technology available and training talent. That legacy continues and Brian remains an integral part of the development team, supporting new projects, as the company continues to evolve.

Chris Whitehead

Job Titles:
  • Customer Programs and Support Manager
While Chris is new to the Customer Programs and Support Manager role, he has been active in several other roles at Brotech and in the machining industry for nearly two decades. Chris starts with Brotech as a machinist, and then took on the role of supervising our afternoon shift, where he helped improve productivity and coordination with the day shift. Chris then lead our team to establish a facility in Owen Sound in support of our largest customer, Bruce Power. His current role allows Chris to combine years of machining knowledge with superior leadership and communication skills to support customers and continue growing the company for years to come.

Jerome Horowitz - President

Following his education in business management and accounting, Jerome spent 10 years helping to grow a small manufacturing and service business into a Canadian leader in the industrial tire market. Following the sale of this business to a global group, he spent the next 10 years with postings in the same group, in business consolidation in the US, focusing on Canadian growth and production relocation, and finally developing a global marketing team in the group's headquarters in Europe. The last 10 years at Brotech have been spent on transforming the business from high precision job shop to the strategic machining partner that it has become today.

Jessica Janes

Job Titles:
  • Controller
Jessica joined Brotech in early 2020. Following her early education in accounting, Jessica honed her skills in accounting, tax, and banking roles before fulfilling generalist functions to small businesses in the decade prior to joining Brotech. It was in that capacity where she developed her talent to wear many hats, often at once. As Controller, Jessica provides critical support to Production, Supply Chain and Quality Assurance functions, and helps to ensure that each of the functions are synched together in support of customer needs, while staying on budget and on time.

John Hand

Job Titles:
  • Quality Manager
John joined the Brotech team as a machinist fresh out of Georgian College, and he hasn't looked back since. He was challenged quickly to manufacture tight tolerance parts for several years. Having become one of the leading machinists in our company, he moved into inspection and CMM programming. John's machining background served him well as a Quality Control Inspector for several years where his role transformed into Inspection Team Leader. While controlling shop floor processes through various levels of inspection, John also taught inspectors the art of precision measurement while continuing to hone his skills in CMM programming. John brings his years of experience in machining and inspection to his current role, ensuring Brotech delivers the quality program appropriate to each customer, whether it is nuclear, aerospace, defense, medical, or other mission critical products.

Mark Crosby

Job Titles:
  • Production Manager
Mark hails from UK, where he went through a rigorous apprenticeship and received a Certificate in Mechanical Engineering. Upon emigrating to Canada, he joined a successful precision machining company and naturally gravitated towards leadership. Mark spent 16 years in supervisory and management roles. Upon joining Brotech in 2018, Mark's 25 years of machining aerospace, defense, medical and oil & gas components were immediately valuable. In addition to ensuring delivery is on time, Mark takes great pride in the team work of his group, and in developing talent, from the apprentices right through to the seasoned professionals.
