Aaron Stanton is a partner at Burke, Warren, MacKay & Serritella, P.C. Mr. Stanton is chair of the firm's Litigation group and has been recognized as one of the top "40 Under 40" attorneys in Illinois by the Chicago Law Bulletin and selected by Crain's Chicago Business as a "Notable Gen X Leader in Law" and included in Crain's 2019 Book of Lists.
Mr. Stanton serves the commercial litigation and general business legal needs of his clients ranging from entrepreneurs and middle market companies to Fortune 500 companies. Utilizing his wealth of experience and the experience of Burke Warren's deep bench of real estate, corporate, employment, and tax attorneys, Mr. Stanton also serves as the outside corporate counsel handling legal matters for several businesses, including @properties; Zacks Investment Research, Inc.; Zacks Investment Management, Inc.; Avra Properties, LLC; and Nieman Brothers Company, Inc., and the Chicago Transit Authority Pension Plan.
In addition to his commercial litigation practice, Mr. Stanton, in conjunction with Burke Warren's real estate and corporate attorneys, assists his clients in a variety of corporate and real estate matters, including advising on the sale, purchase, and development of multifamily residential, commercial, and industrial properties; negotiating and executing investments in real property (commercial and multifamily) and bars and restaurants; assisting real estate developers in condo-conversions, town home developments, and the construction and operation of assisted living facilities; and structuring corporate entities, drafting private placement memoranda for start-up companies, and securing investments in start-up companies, both through private placement and convertible notes. Mr. Stanton also works with Burke Warren's sophisticated estate planning group to ensure that his clients' estate planning needs are met.
Prior to joining Burke Warren, Mr. Stanton served as a judicial law clerk for Judge Blanche M. Manning of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. In 2000, Judge Manning selected Mr. Stanton from among hundreds of applicants for one of two law clerk positions. After Judge Manning asked Mr. Stanton to remain beyond his initial two-year commitment, he served as the judge's "right-hand man" into 2005. While clerking, Mr. Stanton also served as an adjunct professor at Loyola University of Chicago School of Law, where he instructed first year students on the fundamentals of legal writing.
Prior to clerking, Mr. Stanton served as a litigator at Jenner & Block LLP in Chicago, where he argued numerous motions before state and federal courts, took depositions, and prepared complex cases for trial. He worked on a diverse range of matters in his three years at Jenner, including insurance coverage, product liability, patent law, legal malpractice, employment issues, admiralty, and breach of contract actions.

Adam Rick is a partner at Burke, Warren, MacKay & Serritella, P.C. Adam helps institutions prevent, defend, and resolve claims based on alleged malfeasance by their employees. In particular, he helps companies and religious entities respond both compassionately and economically to claims arising from past misconduct.
For clients facing the prospect of multiple lawsuits arising from related events, Adam devises and implements alternative dispute resolution (ADR) processes. These processes may involve:
a protocol for the solicitation and receipt of claims;
the evaluation of claims according to specified criteria; and
equitable distribution of settlement funds.
As an advocate, Adam seeks successful outcomes for his clients both in and out of court. He has won cases on motion, at trial, and on appeal, but he appreciates that the best outcomes often can be achieved through effective negotiation. To that end, he has achieved multiple no-liability, walk-away settlements that did not require any payments by his clients. Adam's most recent courtroom successes have resulted in summary judgment and dismissal of negligent supervision claims.

Alex Marks is a partner at Burke, Warren, MacKay & Serritella, P.C. Alex is a member of the firm's Litigation and Labor and Employment practice groups. He represents major corporations, not-for-profit organizations, and mid-sized and family owned businesses in complex commercial and civil litigation. Alex is also an arbitrator for the American Arbitration Association, serving as a "Commercial Litigation," "Consumer Disputes," and "Labor/Employment" panelist.
Alex's experience spans both a wide array of industries, including financial services, real estate, insurance, and automotive. He regularly handles disputes in both state and federal court, including breach of contract, deceptive trade practices, trade secret misappropriation, contract and lease disputes, trust contests, business divorce and shareholder disputes, business and other tort claims, statute and ordinance violations, and real estate controversies.
He also focuses his practice on labor and employment cases. Throughout his career, Alex has represented individuals and businesses in discrimination lawsuits and other employment-related contract and tort actions. Andrew LeMar is a partner at Burke, Warren, MacKay & Serritella, P.C. Brian P. Welch is a partner at Burke, Warren, MacKay & Serritella, P.C. Brian is a member of the firm's Restructuring, Insolvency and Bankruptcy practice. Craig McCrohon is a partner at Burke, Warren, MacKay & Serritella, P.C. Mr. McCrohon specializes in corporate, securities, and mergers and acquisitions law at the firm. David K. Welch is a partner at Burke, Warren, MacKay & Serritella, P.C. Mr. Welch, chair of the firm's Restructuring, Insolvency and Bankruptcy practice, has been practicing law in the State of Illinois since 1982. His practice has always been concentrated in the fields of bankruptcy, reorganization, restructuring, work-outs, insolvency and debtor's and creditor's rights. He has represented debtors, trustees, creditors' committees, secured creditors, lenders, unsecured creditors and equity holders in numerous matters throughout the United States.
From October 1979 through June 1982, Mr. Welch served as Deputy Chapter 13 Trustee in the Northern District of Illinois under Craig Phelps, Chapter 13 Trustee. He has authored articles for the Illinois Institute of Continuing Legal Education on matters involving bankruptcy and insolvency. He has lectured at seminars relating to bankruptcy issues at the Chicago Bar Association. He has served as a member of the Bankruptcy Mediation Panel Sub-Committee of the Chicago Bar Association. David Schoenherr is a partner at Burke, Warren, MacKay & Serritella, P.C. David is a member of the firm's Corporate and Banking and Financial Services groups. David Silver is of counsel at Burke, Warren, MacKay & Serritella, P.C. While based in Chicago, he represents a national pension trust and other investment funds in real estate acquisitions and joint ventures nationally. He has counseled investors in the formation of real estate investment funds and the investment by those funds in joint ventures, acquisitions, and development projects. As a member of Burke, Warren's Religious practice, Mr. Wambach represents religious, education, and social services organizations in a variety of real estate related matters. He is also actively involved with the Firm's Automotive Franchise group assisting its clients on the sales and purchases of dealership assets.
Mr. Wambach is the former chairman of the governing board of Boys Hope Girls Hope of Illinois and is the recipient of the 2014 Heart of Gold Award for his work as a mentor with the scholars of the program. He also received the "Making a Difference Award" in 2014 from the Lawyer's Lend a Hand Program of the Chicago Bar Association for his work with Boys Hope.

Doug Wambach is a partner at Burke, Warren, MacKay & Serritella, P.C. Mr. Wambach has concentrated his practice in commercial real estate for more than thirty years. He offers a consultative and practical approach in his clients' purchase, sale, design, construction, financing, and leasing of office, industrial, retail, and multi-family residential properties. His experience includes numerous complex transactions with asset values exceeding $100 million. He has also represented clients in industries such as senior housing development and golf course lending and development. Mr. Wambach currently heads Burke Warren's real estate practice group.

Elizabeth Davis is a partner at Burke, Warren, MacKay & Serritella, P.C. Liz is a member of the Firm's Corporate and Health Care groups and focuses her practice on mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, and general business counseling. She actively partners with buyers and sellers of businesses to learn about their companies in order to help them achieve their individual business goals. She leads transactions for private equity and strategic investor clients across many industries, with a focus on logistics, insurance, food and beverage, manufacturing, and health care. Liz acts as outside general counsel to domestic and international companies with respect to all aspects of the commercial contracting process. In both her M&A and general counsel roles, she advises boards of directors and other governing bodies on corporate compliance and fiduciary responsibilities.
