Aaron Stanton is a partner at Burke, Warren, MacKay & Serritella, P.C. Mr. Stanton is chair of the firm's Litigation group and has been recognized as one of the top "40 Under 40" attorneys in Illinois by the Chicago Law Bulletin and selected by Crain's Chicago Business as a "Notable Gen X Leader in Law" and included in Crain's 2019 Book of Lists. Mr. Stanton also works with Burke Warren's sophisticated estate planning group to ensure that his clients' estate planning needs are met. Prior to joining Burke Warren, Mr. Stanton served as a judicial law clerk for Judge Blanche M. Manning of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. In 2000, Judge Manning selected Mr. Stanton from among hundreds of applicants for one of two law clerk positions. After Judge Manning asked Mr. Stanton to remain beyond his initial two-year commitment, he served as the judge's "right-hand man" into 2005. While clerking, Mr. Stanton also served as an adjunct professor at Loyola University of Chicago School of Law, where he instructed first year students on the fundamentals of legal writing. Prior to clerking, Mr. Stanton served as a litigator at Jenner & Block LLP in Chicago, where he argued numerous motions before state and federal courts, took depositions, and prepared complex cases for trial. Adam Rick is a partner at Burke, Warren, MacKay & Serritella, P.C. Adam helps institutions prevent, defend, and resolve claims based on alleged malfeasance by their employees. In particular, he helps companies and religious entities respond both compassionately and economically to claims arising from past misconduct. For clients facing the prospect of multiple lawsuits arising from related events, Adam devises and implements alternative dispute resolution (ADR) processes. These processes may involve: a protocol for the solicitation and receipt of claims; the evaluation of claims according to specified criteria; and equitable distribution of settlement funds. As an advocate, Adam seeks successful outcomes for his clients both in and out of court. Alex Marks is a partner at Burke, Warren, MacKay & Serritella, P.C. Alex is a member of the firm's Litigation and Labor and Employment practice groups. He represents major corporations, not-for-profit organizations, and mid-sized and family owned businesses in complex commercial and civil litigation. David K. Welch

Mr. Welch, chair of the firm's Restructuring, Insolvency and Bankruptcy practice, has been practicing law in the State of Illinois since 1982. His practice has always been concentrated in the fields of bankruptcy, reorganization, restructuring, work-outs, insolvency and debtor's and creditor's rights. He has represented debtors, trustees, creditors' committees, secured creditors, lenders, unsecured creditors and equity holders in numerous matters throughout the United States. David also has extensive experience preparing and negotiating ancillary deal documents such as operating agreements, joint venture agreements, and shareholder agreements for clients in various industries. In addition to his real estate and business transactional practices, David has developed a niche representing talented chefs, operators and investors in the hospitality industry from their initial stages of identifying viable concepts through ongoing operations, including creating and structuring of entities, preparing offering memoranda, negotiating leases, and advising on related matters.
