Amisha joined Building Impact in 2022 as the Director of Programs & Engagement.
She is responsible for deepening our partner engagement with our Commercial Real Estate clients and Corporate clients as well as expanding our Nonprofit partnerships by co-designing and delivering innovative volunteer opportunities that will positively impact communities.
Prior to joining Building Impact, Amisha worked at GE Healthcare where she completed a 2-year rotational program and thereafter partnered with large health systems on their medical equipment service programs. Throughout her five years with GE Healthcare, she cultivated many client relationships through her roles in sales and operations.
She has a Bachelor of Science in Management with concentrations in Marketing and Business Analytics and a Minor in Philosophy from Boston College. During her free time, Amisha loves drawing and painting, spending time in nature, and practicing yoga and meditation.

Bailey joined Building Impact as the Partner Relationship Manager in 2023.
She is responsible for managing Commercial Real Estate client relationships and serves as a primary point of contact for volunteer program related activities.
Previously, Bailey was the Partnerships Manager at Life Science Cares Boston, where she managed over 100 life science-client relationships and coordinated a wide range of volunteer opportunities. Simultaneously, she developed a strong understanding of Boston's nonprofit ecosystem, working closely with other organizations to combat poverty in our local communities.
Bailey has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Boston University. In her free time, she is also lead singer in The Femmes, a wedding & events band for women & non-binary musicians in the New England area.

Emily (Emmy) joined Building Impact in 2021.
Starting as the Marketing Associate, she now acts as the Senior Marketing and Graphic Design Manager. Emmy leads a wide range of marketing initiatives, including developing the marketing for Building Impact's volunteer programs, optimizing our web presence and collateral, and leading our impact reporting. Prior to joining the Building Impact team, Emmy interned with United Way of Pioneer Valley and SIOS Technology Corp.. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Marketing with a Minor in Graphic Design from Emmanuel College.
She enjoys watercolor painting, live music, and trying out cafés in Boston.
Emily joined Building Impact in May 2023 as a consultant.
Having worked in entrepreneurial and growing organizations for more than 25 years, Emily's talents lie in leveraging the diverse skills and expertise of team members toward deeper impact, greater productivity and authentic growth. As President, CEO and COO of several organizations, Emily has managed and led through periods of transition in support of organizational growth and positive change. Emily has an undergraduate degree from Hamilton College, a Master of Education degree from The University of Vermont, and is also a graduate of the Executive Program for Nonprofit Leaders at the Stanford University Graduate School of Business, as well as the Advanced Executive Program at the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. Emily is serving as Interim President at Building Impact while the search for a new full-time CEO is underway.

Emily Karafelis joined Building Impact in June 2023 as the Programs and Communications Intern working with BI's nonprofit programs.
Emily is a graduate student studying Design Innovation at Massachusetts College of Art and Design. Before attending graduate school, Emily previously worked at Big Brothers Big Sisters of Eastern MA, where she supported youth mentoring both through direct service and administrative roles.
In her free time, Emily enjoys cooking, dancing, practicing aerial arts and caring for bonsai.

Kate joined Building Impact in 2016 as the Director of Programs.
She is responsible for cultivating and managing relationships and strategic partnerships with local nonprofits, community-based organizations, and schools. Prior to working for Building Impact, Kate was the Director of Corporate Engagement at United Way. She has a Master of Arts in International Studies and has spent extensive time living in Africa, India, and South America working for multiple NGOs. She loves the outdoors, enjoys running and being a mom of two.

Kristina joined Building Impact in 2024 as Programs & Communications Intern.
Kristina has robust experience working and volunteering with nonprofits, coming directly from an AmeriCorps service term with Campus Climate Action Corps where she helped build the communications groundwork for the first-year environmental program.
She has a Bachelor of Arts in Advertising & Public Relations and a minor in Marine Biology from the University of Tampa. She is driven to make a positive difference for people and the planet in and out of work, and loves spending her free time trying new restaurants, enjoying the outdoors, and finding new adventures to go on with her friends, family, and dog.

MJ joined Building Impact in 2022 as the Director of Growth & Strategy Development.
She is responsible for executing our growth plan and scaling the adoption of our service offerings by developing strategic partnerships between clients and non-profits.
Previously, MJ was the Associate Director of Employment Placement at Year Up, where she built and stewarded strong relationships with hiring managers nationally and led the employment team to coach over 200 Year Up alumni through career development and academic plans.

Rory joined Building Impact in 2023, first as an intern and then full time as the Programs and Graphic Design Associate.
She is responsible for supporting Emmy, the Senior Marketing and Graphic Design Manager, with creating graphics, marketing content, and programs materials for Building Impact. She recently graduated from Massachusetts College of Art and Design, where she obtained a BFA in graphic design. Her favorite components of design include typography, UX/UI, and branding. She is ecstatic about the work she's doing at Building Impact and helping make a difference in the community.
She also enjoys warm weather, Boston, music, and animals.
