Dr. Jody Heath Wagner

Dr. Jody Heath Wagner, age 46, of Cropwell, Alabama, passed away on Tuesday, August 8, 2023. Jody was born on June 20, 1977 in Fort Payne, Alabama and graduated from Valley Head High School in 1995. He later attended and graduated from Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine. Jody was currently employed at Coosa Valley Equine Center where he was a veterinarian and chief surgeon. Mr. Johnny Brown

Johnny graduated from Nottingham High School and later joined the United States Navy where he reached the rank of E-4 as a radioman. Johnny married Dr. Elnora Jean Dewitt in 1968 and would go on to enjoy a career as an Air Traffic Control Operator. During his career he was president of the local Air Traffic Control Operators Union (PACTO). He earned degrees in Pre-Law and Business Data Management and also certificates in accounting and air field management. Johnny was a member of the American Legion and NAACP, Macon Chapter 5215. Johnny is pre-deceased in life by his mother Mrs. Stella Brown, and his two brothers Charles Churn and Dr. Jerry Brown. He is survived by his niece Kimberly Brown of Syracuse, NY and his nephew Gregory Brown of Syracuse, NY. He is also survived by several first cousins including Robert may of Fort Payne, AL with whom he lived during the latter part of his life. Robert and Johnny enjoyed sitting on the porch and listening to music together. In lieu of flowers the family respectfully requests donations be made in Johnny Brown's name to the American Legion or NAACP.
