Moving into the new millennium BWE has emerged as its own entity with a complete high performance piston ring product line which is complimented with engine bearings, wrist pins & custom pistons. It all started 50 years ago when my passion for racing was ignited at Lions and San Fernando drag Strip. When I started racing I soon realized we needed higher quality engine components. In 1968, I opened my first high performance piston ring company called Performance Components. During the next four years P C became very well recognized as the place to go for the highest quality Piston Rings such as Stainless Chrome, Tool Steel, Ductile Iron & specialized tools for engine building. In 1973 I merged Performance Components with Childs & Albert Racing Enterprises which then became Childs & Albert Performance..
