As part of its strategic planning process, CAH has chosen a new mission statement that better defines its scope of action. Previously, our mission was: To contribute to the development of seniors in French. It has become: To provide services and programs in French for seniors and their caregivers promoting their quality of life, supporting their independence and encouraging them to participate in the life of the Francophone community... CAH's Board of Directors and management used the ideas and suggestions received during the 2018-2019 consultations to better define what it means to thrive in the context of community health... In the late 1970s, a group of Toronto residents took steps to obtain health and social services in French for members of the Francophone community living in Toronto who are elderly or have disabilities. Since then, we have continued to evolve according to the needs of the community.
