Katya's main area of focus is public procurement, state aid and the public sector. She has assisted a number of clients from various industry sectors before the Public Contracts Review Board and, or the Court of Appeal, in proceedings related to tender procedures in which they participated. She has also assisted a number of public entities in connection with their procurement process, from drafting of tender documentation to representation in proceedings and contract implementation.

Lisa ‘s primary focus is on the application of EU and national competition rules which involves advising on investigations by the national competition authority, sector enquiries, complaints and merger filings. She has also worked extensively on EU state aid compliance issues related to: concessions, public tenders, and any investment in infrastructure, fiscal aid and public support for SGEIs. She has also been involved in advising both the public sector as well as the private sector in planning a compliant procurement strategy; drafting procurement documents; reviewing of procurement processes; advising on changes to public contracts; and advising bidders on challenging procurement processes.
She is also a visiting lecturer at the University of Malta for the LL.B. undergraduate programme and the Master of Laws programme in European and Comparative Law.

Louis is the first Managing Partner of the firm and was appointed to the role in January 2022. He is also President of Chamber of Advocates the Maltese recognised professional body for the legal profession. In his role as Managing Partner, he works closely with other practice partners and the firm's general manager to develop and promote the firm's strategy and approach.
Louis acts for a number of corporate clients, banks and financial institutions in relation to the larger or more complex domestic and cross-border transactions; and also covers a broad spectrum of complex commercial litigation, particularly in the corporate and finance area.
He advises on an on-going basis on corporate governance issues as well as regulatory matters in the financial services field. He is a recognised leader in capital markets, having been an active contributor to the development of Maltese capital markets since the 1990's, when he advised on the first public offer of securities in Malta in 1990 (Bank of Valletta plc), and subsequently handled most of the large privatisations of public enterprises in Malta.
His depth of knowledge and experience in his areas of expertise has consistently earned him a Band 1 Lawyer ranking in both the Corporate & Commercial and Financial Services sectors of the Chambers Europe and Chambers Global . He has been included in the Legal 500 Hall of Fame for Commercial, Corporate and M&A sectors, and as leading individual in Banking, Finance & Capital Markets; and investment Funds. He is also considered as a highly regarded lawyer in Capital Markets, Banking and M&A by the IFLR 1000.
Louis takes a keen interest in matters of corporate governance and actively lectures on matters concerning the roles and responsibilities of directors in an ever-changing globalised world and regulatory constraints.
