Alan, known as ‘AJ' is a Consultant for C&M legal and has been a member of the firm for over 10 years.
Alexa completed her studies in her hometown of Wellington before moving to New Plymouth in 2011.
Alexa has several years' experience in the Family Court.
She is a Lead Provider of Legal Aid services and is a Court appointed Lawyer to represent children.

Ali is a Registered Legal Executive with almost 5 years of experience in conveyancing. Ali is keen to make the conveyancing process easy for clients to understand and particularly enjoys helping our clients through the various steps. Ali is married and a proud mum to 3 adult daughters. Being keen on exercise, Ali regularly attends group fitness classes throughout the week. When not working, or in her garden, Ali and husband Paul often cruise the region on their motorbike.

Cherie is the Crown Solicitor for New Plymouth. She leads a team of lawyers responsible for prosecuting all serious crime in Taranaki.
Cherie's litigation experience commenced in 1993 and includes time as a criminal defence barrister. She has appeared in the Court of Appeal, High Court, District Court and many other jurisdictions.
Cherie is a faculty member of the New Zealand Law Society Litigation Skills Programme and a member of the New Zealand Bar Association/Ngā Ahorangi Motuhake o te Ture.
While completing her Bachelor of Law at Victoria University, Courtney worked at C&M Legal as a Law Clerk.
Having now finished her studies, Courtney has returned home to Taranaki to join the property and commercial team, working alongside Nik Marinovich.
Outside of work, Courtney enjoys spending time outdoors in the surf and snow.
Holly joined C&M Legal in August 2022 as part of the Family and Crown Prosecution Teams. Having previously worked for the Ministry of Justice as a District Court Judges' Clerk, Holly has a comprehensive understanding of the workings of both the Family and District Courts. She is able to assist in a range of family disputes, including applications for Protection Orders, Parenting Orders, and Guardianship Disputes. As a Crown Prosecutor, Holly assists with the conduct of jury and Judge-alone trials on behalf of the Crown for serious criminal offending.
Jacob is an Associate of the firm and practices in the areas of criminal, regulatory, Local Government, employment, property and dispute resolution.
Laura joined C&M Legal in 2020 as part of the Family and Crown Prosecution Teams.
Having previously worked for the Ministry of Justice at the New Plymouth Family Court, Laura has inside knowledge as to the workings of the Family Court system and is able to assist in a range of family disputes, including applications for Protection Orders, Parenting Orders, and Guardianship Disputes.
As a Crown prosecutor Laura assists with the conduct of jury and Judge-alone trials on behalf of the Crown for serious criminal offending.
Nik is a Partner in the Property and Commercial Team and joined C&M Legal after many years of practice in New Plymouth and Taranaki. Nik practices in all areas of Property and Commercial Law and acts for a wide variety of clients ranging from individuals and families to business owners and larger organisations. Outside of work, Nik loves being part of the Taranaki Community and spending time with his wife and three children.
Originally from Wellington, Rebekah joined C&M Legal as a Law Clerk upon the completion of her studies.
Rebekah currently assists across the Crown Prosecution and Family Teams, and will be admitted to the bar to begin her practice in full in mid 2022.
In her spare time Rebekah enjoys exploring the beautiful Taranaki Region
Steve has extensive experience in construction and commercial law both as a lawyer and, before that, as a business owner, project manager and qualified quantity surveyor.
Having managed people, contractors and professionals involved in civil construction works for 7 years, Steve moved on to study law in 1993, graduated with LL.B. from Otago University in 1997 and at the same time graduated with Dip.B.S (Dispute Resolution) from Massey University and was admitted to the Bar in May 1997. Steve then joined a local law firm in New Plymouth in June 1997 and became a partner in that firm in April 2002.
After 17 years of legal practice and recognising changes in the legal services market Steve then combined resources with the partners of C&M Legal in 2014 to provide clients with the highest level of technical skills and advice, and the proven ability to use the court system to achieve client outcomes. Steve's technical competencies in construction and commercial contracts reflects in the many contractors, both national and local, for whom he acts and the steady referrals of work received across New Zealand.
While Steve was born in Wellington and has family and business connections both in Wellington and Auckland, he regards himself as local to Taranaki having spent most of his primary school and high school years in New Plymouth. During his time as a lawyer Steve has also attended to a wide range of general legal practice including Property, Employment, Trusts, Wills, Estates, Leases, Easements and land access arrangements for major infrastructural resources. Steve's accumulated experience stands out to those seeking answers to difficult legal issues and, for that reason, Steve is often consulted or engaged on litigation work.
Tom has management experience in both the private and public sector.
He leads the firms management functions and is responsible for ensuring C&M Legal meets its strategic objectives.
Tom manages the firms business and operational responsibilities including Finance, IT, and all support services to assist our team in providing high quality legal service to our varied clients.
