Daniel H. April

Dan April concentrates his practice in corporate and securities law, representing a mutual fund complex, and a number of local commercial enterprises.

David F. Cunningham

David F. Cunningham is a graduate of Stanford University (B.A.) and Hastings College of Law (J.D.). He has practiced law since 1969 and is admitted to practice in the States of New Mexico and New York as well as before the United States Supreme Court and numerous circuit and district courts. He practices primarily in the areas of Civil and Criminal Litigation. From 1969 through 1983, Mr. Cunningham served in several capacities for the New York County District Attorney, including Chief of the Investigative Division. During this period he also served as Chief of Trials and Chief Assistant District Attorney in the Office of the Special Narcotics Prosecutor. He was Counsel to the Zuni Tribe from 1987 to 2004 and has been Counsel to the Oliver Seth Inn of the Court for Northern New Mexico since its inception in 1996. In 2007 Mr. Cunningham was one of 113 lawyers in the country chosen by BTI Consulting Group as a BTI Client Service All-Star based upon a survey of corporate counsel. Mr. Cunningham also has been AV Preeminent peer review rated by Martindale Hubbell for more than 20 years. Outside of work, Mr. Cunningham is an avid runner, fly fisherman, and traveler.

John M. Hickey

John M. Hickey has over 35 years of practice experience in the areas of estate planning, trusts, and probate law, federal and state taxation law, and business law. Mr. Hickey received an LL.M. (in Taxation) from New York University School of Law in 1982, a J.D., cum laude, in 1981 from California Western School of Law, and a B.A. in 1977 from Tulane University of Louisiana. Mr. Hickey spent his junior year in the Tulane-Newcomb Junior Year Abroad Honors Program as a student at the University of Wales in Swansea. Mr. Hickey is admitted to practice in the State of New Mexico (1983) and the State of California (1981). He is also admitted to practice before the United States Tax Court (1983) and the Federal District Court of New Mexico (1983). Mr. Hickey was elected as a Fellow of the American College of Trusts & Estates Counsel (ACTEC) in 2003. Since 1994, Mr. Hickey has been a member of the Estate Planning Council of Santa Fe and was a member of the Board of Directors from 2007 through 2010. Since 1983, Mr. Hickey has been a member of the Taxation Section of the State Bar of New Mexico and was a member of the Board of Directors of the Taxation Section from 2002 to 2015. Mr. Hickey has been listed in Best Lawyers in America as a Trusts and Estates lawyer since 2006. Mr. Hickey received the honor of being named Lawyer of the Year for Trusts and Estates in Santa Fe, New Mexico in the 2012, 2016, and 2021 Best Lawyers in America publication. Mr. Hickey was also named in Southwest SuperLawyers in 2008. Mr. Hickey has an AV Preeminent peer review rating from Martindale Hubbell.

Patrick J. Dolan

Patrick J. Dolan concentrates his practice in the field of estate planning, trusts, and probate law. Mr. Dolan received his B.A., magna cum laude, from the University of Notre Dame in 1998, and his J.D. from the University of Virginia in 2002. Mr. Dolan is admitted to practice law in the Commonwealth of Virginia and in the State of New Mexico. (He is currently inactive in the Commonwealth of Virginia.) Mr. Dolan is a Past President of the Santa Fe Estate Planning Council, a Past President of the First Judicial District Bar Association of New Mexico, a Past Chairman of the State Bar of New Mexico Real Property, Trust, and Estate Law Section, and a Past Chairman of the State Bar of New Mexico Taxation Law Section. Prior to the program's termination, Mr. Dolan was Board Certified in Estate Planning, Trusts, and Probate Law by the New Mexico Board of Legal Specialization. Mr. Dolan has an AV Preeminent peer review rating from Martindale Hubbell. He also has been recognized by his peers for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America. Prior to moving to Santa Fe, New Mexico in 2005, Mr. Dolan worked at McGuireWoods LLP in Richmond, Virginia.
