Our goal is to gain quantitative understanding of mitogenic signaling and gene networks in normal cells and malignant tumors by exploiting Systems Biology techniques and data-driven mathematical models. This emerging synergistic approach generates new insight and knowledge with quantitative and predictive explanatory power. It links molecular mechanisms to physiological responses and, ultimately, provides the ability to control cell fate decisions, such as proliferation and apoptosis.
