Duke Energy Center for the Performing Arts, previously the Progress Energy Center, opened in 1932 and was renovated in 1990. The Raleigh Memorial Auditorium is the oldest and biggest of the five theaters on site seating 2,277. The Duke Energy Center box office is located at 2 East South Street in downtown Raleigh, North Carolina. The theater is now the primary place in the Raleigh metro area to see the best traveling Broadway series.
