Charlie Sayers

Charlie graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce (International Business) from the University of Sydney, where he was a resident at St Paul's College. He began his career in fixed income, acting as an adviser to some of Australia's largest fixed income institutions. He specialised in wholesale term deposits, bonds and NCDs. Charlie joined Chancellor in 2014 and advises individuals, companies, family trusts and charitable foundations. He specialises in Australian and International equity markets, aided by a strong proficiency in both technical and fundamental analysis.

Erik Haggstrom - CFO, COO, Secretary

Erik joined the business in 2018 to take on the role of Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Chief Financial Officer (CFO). In this role he takes on responsibility for the infrastructure, operations and finance teams within Chancellor. Erik is company secretary and a member of Chancellor's audit and risk management committee. Erik is passionate about building value for clients and Chancellor through ensuring that the business is supported by excellent governance, risk management, compliance and operational processes and systems. Erik has more than 20 years experience as a senior financial services executive in consulting firms, private wealth managers, asset management and institutional banks, across Australia, Europe and the U.S. Companies that he has worked with include Morgan Stanley, Dixon Advisory, KPMG and PwC. Erik has a Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Commerce from the Australian National University. He has been a member of the Chartered Accountants (Australia and New Zealand) since 1998. He has a Diploma in Financial Planning.

Hamish Campbell - CEO

Hamish was appointed Chief Executive Officer in November 2019 and is Head of Advice and a member of chancellor's remuneration committee. Hamish's career in financial services commenced more than two decades ago, as a stockbroker with two leading national stock broking firms. During that time, he gained extensive experience in advising private clients, family groups, and Not for Profit organisations. In 2007, he joined Chancellor, and is now an adviser and director of the firm. Hamish specialises in advising private clients and wholesale organisations on portfolio construction and ongoing wealth management. He is also well versed on issues relating to superannuation, taxation, and estate planning.

Matthew Sharratt

Matthew has extensive experience in financial markets. He has been providing investment advice for clients for more than a decade. Matthew began his financial services career as an equities and derivatives broker with Kinetic Securities before moving to Capital 19. He then joined SCM Equities as Head of International Equities and Foreign Exchange. Matthew joined Chancellor in 2014. He specialises in fixed interest, domestic and international equities, and advises a wide spectrum of successful private clients.

Suvan de Soysa - Chairman

Suvan joined Chancellor's board in November 2019. He was appointed Non-Executive Chairman of Chancellor and is chairman of Chancellor's audit and risk management committee. He is a shareholder in the company. Suvan brings a wealth of governance experience to the company and has held senior management and board positions in the wealth management industry. As co-founder of ipac securities and ipac asset management, he played a central role in creating one of Australia's pre-eminent wealth management businesses. He was a director of several of ipac's joint ventures with Australian financial institutions. Suvan was seconded to the UK to assist AXA with its wealth management strategy and was subsequently appointed managing director of AXA's private client wealth management business in the UK. He holds a Bachelor of Science (Economics) Honours from University of London and a Bachelor of Laws from University of Sydney. He gained his admission as a solicitor in New South Wales in 1985, is a Certified Financial Planner, a Fellow of Finsia and a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. Suvan is an independent non-executive director of Monash Absolute Investment Company that listed on the Australian Stock Exchange in April 2016, and he chairs its audit and compliance committee.

Tony McGrath

Tony became a principal shareholder in Chancellor in November 2019 and joined the board as an Executive Director. Tony has been a financial adviser since 1995, specialising in Australian and international equities. He worked at Credit Suisse for over 10 years, HSBC and SCM before joining Chancellor. Tony holds a Bachelor of Economics.
