The Central Area Health Education Center, (Central AHEC) is a private, nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization based in Hartford, CT, serving Hartford, Middlesex, and Tolland counties, along with Meriden and Wallingford. Our diverse team is committed to reducing health disparities among BIPOC populations and promoting diversity in health professions... We collaborate with health, education, and philanthropic organizations at multiple governmental levels. Our success relies on the support from individual donors and public/private funding, which has enabled us to make significant progress in our initiatives... The mission of Central AHEC is to eliminate health disparities among diverse populations of central Connecticut by providing and coordinating programs that improve the health status of all.
