Eleni Chilakos is a Certified Professional Accountant, Chartered Accountant with over 25 years of experience in the forensic accounting field, including all aspects of damage/economic loss quantification for litigation support and insurance related claims. Fluent in English, French and Greek, Eleni has extensive experience working on large scale product liability cases, subrogated claims and breach of contract issues. She has also participated in mediation hearings and international arbitration cases presented before the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) in Paris, France. Eleni has worked on behalf of leading commercial insurers and adjusters in Canada, in the United States and in Europe, as well as on behalf of policyholders, to effectively analyse, measure and quantify insurable losses resulting from fires, mechanical breakdowns, flood/water damage, electrical disturbances, etc. This includes, loss of gross profits/earnings, increased costs of working, extra expenses, contingent business interruption losses, stock losses, product recalls, and more. During her career, Eleni has participated in the review and analysis of over 1,000 third party corporate claims resulting from Iraq's invasion of Kuwait on August 2, 1990 (re: Gulf War), as instructed by the United Nations Compensation Commission, as well as in the assessment of third party property damages and economic losses resulting from the September 21, 2001 catastrophic explosion at a fertilizer plant in Toulouse, France, as assigned by the TOTAL Group, its insurers and re-insurers.
