Brandon is a Project Manager in Civiltech's Chicago office and provides services on both Phase I and Phase II projects. He specializes in traffic engineering, roadway and highway design, street rehabilitation and reconstruction, drainage design, and preparation of contract plans, specifications, and estimates. Brandon has been involved in a number of significant CDOT projects. As part of CDOT's Citywide Construction Engineering program, Brandon has also provided construction inspection services.
Fun fact: In an attempt to prolong his youth, Brandon competes in softball and basketball recreational leagues. When he prefers watching games to playing in them, he is a fan of Wisconsin professional and collegiate teams.

Brent is a Resident Engineer in Civiltech's Construction Engineering Services department and started his career with us years ago as a co-op student. Brent has grown within Civiltech by gaining experience as a Design Engineer, Field Engineer, and Chief of Survey. He specializes in construction inspection, construction layout, topographic surveys, and roadway and highway design. Brent has provided his services to all of our largest clients and received great reviews from them.
Fun fact: Brent's design and construction layout skills are beneficial on the home front as well. He built his dining room table from mid-century reclaimed lumber, making sure it was big enough to seat his family of 7 with room to spare!

Dave is a Resident Engineer in Civiltech's Construction Engineering Services department. In addition to resident engineering, his areas of specialization include bridge construction inspection, construction layout, and construction documentation. Dave has specialized in providing resident engineering services to substantial municipal roadway, bridge, and infrastructure improvements. He has also provided experienced inspection services on Illinois Tollway and IDOT projects.
Fun fact: It's a good thing Dave can spend his days on construction sites because he loves being outdoors. And when the construction sites close down for the winter, Dave can be found hunting, ice fishing, and snowmobiling. If forced to be inside, Dave enjoys home remodeling, including not only demo day, but the satisfaction of seeing the finished project.

Greg is Civiltech's Director of Structural Design Services. He has extensive experience with the design and inspection of transportation related structures including highway bridges, pedestrian bridges, railroad bridges, hydraulic box culverts, and retaining walls. His bridge design experience includes multi-span bridges and curved bridges. Greg is responsible for the preparation of bridge type studies; type, size and location (TSL) drawings; technical reports; final plans and specifications; bridge load ratings on a variety of projects utilizing federal, local and private funds. Greg is approved by IDOT to act as the National Bridge Inspection Standards (NBIS) Program Manager for local agencies and currently provides these services for several communities throughout the Chicago region.
Fun fact: Greg loves to be outdoors! And we're not just talking about inspecting bridges. Outside of work, he enjoys bird hunting in Northern Wisconsin and backcountry camping and fly fishing in western states.
Hugh has been with Civiltech since 2004 and is a Resident Engineer in the Construction Engineering Services department. He has managed significant roadway and bridge reconstruction projects for a full spectrum of clients across the region including municipalities, counties, IDOT, and Tollway. Hugh has also been the R.E. on many substantial watermain and stormwater management projects. He has become one of our experts at structural foundations whether using piles or spread footings. Hugh has expanded our services using his knowledge and expertise into a new field of Pump Station construction. With a background in soils and construction material testing, Hugh has provided Material Testing QC/QA on many projects as well.
Fun fact: Hugh is involved with Special Olympics as a semi-regular Polar Plunger & utilizes his Civiltech vest as a parking lot attendant for the Region B Spring Games held at Prospect HS.
Jeff is a Project Manager in the Construction Engineering Services department and served many years as a resident engineer at Civiltech. Jeff's specialties are in construction inspection, construction staking and layout, and construction documentation. He has provided administration and construction inspection services for over $200 million worth of large transportation projects for many of our clients including the Illinois Department of Transportation and Illinois Tollway. Jeff is skilled at determining and organizing the requirements of large projects ensuring that they will be performed in proper order, minimizing conflicts, and providing benefit in time and costs.
Fun fact: Jeff practically grew up at Civiltech! He started here as a teen-aged co-op student and has risen through the ranks to a Project Manager. When not on a Civiltech project site, Jeff enjoys exploring our National Parks and has made it to 6 of them, with plans to visit more.

Jen is a Phase I Project Manager specializing in environmental assessment and design studies. Her work includes public involvement, traffic engineering and impact studies, geometrics, and location design studies. She has experience working on large, multi-faceted Chicago Department of Transportation projects such as the North Lake Shore Drive Phase I Study and the Jackson Park Improvements/Obama Presidential Center. Jen brings strong coordination abilities, creativity, design capabilities (including 3D), dependability, and responsiveness.
Fun fact: Jen is passionate about her work at Civiltech, but balances that passion with her many outside interests. While busy raising her kids and watching them grow, she makes time to cheer on her alma mater, the Purdue Boilermakers, and to pretend she has a green thumb!

Jim is Civiltech's Director of Construction Engineering Services and has served as the project/quality manager for all Phase III projects. He also provides constructability and schedule reviews for Phase I and II projects. Jim has been the Construction Manager on hundreds of projects for various agencies such as IDOT, the Illinois Tollway, counties, forest preserves, and municipalities throughout the region. He provides experienced guidance for improvements ranging from multi-use paths to large expressway reconstructions. Prior to joining Civiltech, Jim was employed with IDOT where he obtained extensive knowledge in project management, contractor negotiations, documentation procedures, materials testing, construction layout, and field inspection.
Fun fact: Jim is one of those rare Midwesterners who truly looks forward to winter and the colder weather. Each year, Jim and his kids construct a skating rink in his backyard which requires the cold temps to keep the fun going!

Kristin is a Phase II Project Manager. She specializes in geometric roadway design, bicycle and pedestrian facility design, highway design, street rehabilitation and reconstruction, and drainage design, predominantly for Federally funded projects. A strong team leader, Kristin is highly responsive, with outstanding communication and organizational skills. She excels at and often leads the coordination with IDOT and utility companies, and she has extensive experience in additional stakeholder coordination efforts such as community groups and neighboring agencies.
Fun fact: Kristin is a real ringer! (And we're not talking about her stellar engineering skills.) She tours the country (and beyond!) as part of a Chicago area professional handbell ensemble.

Petro is a Project Manager in Civiltech's Design Services department. He specializes in roadway and highway design, geometric design, drainage design, bicycle and pedestrian facility design, and street rehabilitation and reconstruction. He is also responsible for project cost estimating, special provisions, and other contract documents. Petro has provided engineering services on many significant county DOT and Local Municipality projects, both Federally funded and local let. Additionally, he has experience in working with design 3D models and providing 3D deliverables for roadway construction.
Fun fact: Petro's last name means "tailor" in Ukrainian. And, as far as he knows, he is not related to Lenny.
Phil is a Resident Engineer in Civiltech's Construction Engineering Department specializing in construction inspection, construction documentation, construction layout, bridge construction inspection, topographic survey, and erosion control inspection. Phil is highly skilled with coordinating construction activities between multiple contractors, as well as utility companies and other stakeholders. He has led the construction activities on many of Civiltech's bridge and underpass projects.
Fun fact: Although Phil played many sports growing up and in college, he never really enjoyed running until he lived downtown. The lakefront trails have a lot to offer! In April 2015, Phil decided to train for the Chicago Marathon and by October of the same year, he finished the marathon in just under 5.5 hours. Phil still enjoy running, but lately has been sticking to the 5Ks.

Shirley is a Phase II Project Engineer specializing in the areas of highway and pedestrian lighting design, drainage design, highway and roadway design, and the development of contract plans and specifications. She is also one of the key staff on Civiltech's lighting design team. Shirley has provided lighting design on projects for counties and municipalities throughout the Chicago area. Shirley has also served as project manager and coordinator for small cell installation projects.
Fun fact: Shirley was enlightened by switching majors in college. She had enrolled in an Electrical Engineering class only to realize that while she enjoyed aspects of it, she preferred Civil Engineering. From that experience, however, she realized that she could have the best of both worlds: A Civil Engineer specializing in lighting design.
