Bashar Jabar

Bashar Jabar is responsible for logistics and security of operations in Iraq, as well as being the administrative focal point for coordination with ministries and departments within the Government of Iraq. Prior to his position with CLIC, Bashar Jabar held the position of Procurement Manager with MidEast Dove, Baghdad, where he managed and coordinated purchasing and monitored implementation of projects. In addition, Bashar Jabar has years of experience working with private companies, coordinating and facilitating relationships with key government officials and offices.

David Comerford

He is the founder and President of Canadian Leaders in International Consulting (CLIC), an Ottawa based consulting company working internationally with offices and representation in Libya, Iraq, and Tunis. CLIC is comprised of three distinct units: CLIC-LEARNING, CLIC EVALUATIONS, and CLIC-CONSULTING. The company provides services to a number of multilateral and international organizations, governments across several regions, and private sector companies. Mr. Chouaib is a governance and institutional development specialist with over 15 years of experience working internationally and in Canada. He has served as the advisor and lead consultant on a number of development and governance projects to several UN and international agencies in the Gulf, the Middle East, and North Africa (MENA). He served as the advisor to the UNDP Parliamentary Development Projects in Iraq and Bahrain. He has worked in Libya, Iraq, Lebanon, Jordan, Tunisia, Kuwait, Mauritania, Bahrain, Yemen, Egypt, Canada, and several European countries. David is an International Development Specialist, with key expertise in managing and evaluating technical and vocational education projects. David is the current elected President of the National Council on Canada Arab Relations, and prior to starting his position with CLIC, worked as a Director at the Canadian Bureau for International Education (CBIE). He has also worked as the Director of Business Development for the MENA Region and Sub-Sahara Africa. Previously, David spent 7 years as the sole proprietor of David Comerford & Associates, securing and implementing contracts on institutional capacity building, conflict resolution, youth entrepreneurship, and educational projects. These projects were funded by a variety of donors, including the Canadian International Development Agency, the World Bank, the African Development Bank, UNESCO, Youth Business International, International Alert, and also by Canadian colleges, universities, and nongovernmental organizations. David holds a Graduate Degree in International Development and Cooperation from the University of Ottawa, is fully bilingual in French and English, and has an intermediate-level of understanding in Arabic.

Mohammed Hazim

Mohammed has 18 years of project management experience, with a specific focus on monitoring and evaluation. He has extensive experience in moderating, designing and analyzing focus group discussions with a variety of target groups for international and national organizations, and has worked on numerous polls in Iraq for several international clients. In addition, Mohammed's experience includes field surveying, quality control, and data fieldwork auditing and data entry process. Prior to joining CLIC, Mohammed held the positions of Baghdad Branch Manager and Kurdistan Branch Manager for the Independent Institute of Administration & Civil Society Studies (IIACSS). In addition, as the Monitoring and Evaluation Manager at International Business and Technical Consultants Mohammed oversaw impact assessments for USAID projects, and as the Country Field Manager he coordinated independent marketing research. Osamah Kadhim

Job Titles:

Osamah is a diplomat and results-oriented professional, who has worked with numerous international and national organizations in the field of Training and Capacity Building. Prior to joining CLIC, he served as the IOM National Officer for the EU funded HIKRA AMINA, where he worked closely with Government of Iraq Ministries to resolve migration and border management issues. Previously, Osamah was the Assistant Director of Programmes and Business Development for the British Council in Iraq. While working for the British Council, he oversaw the implementation of four grants and projects, such as Connecting Classrooms, each designed to improve the learning experience and employability of Iraqi youth. Osamah has worked alongside the Ministry of Higher Education and the Ministry of Culture in Iraq to implement the ARTS Project, and has pursued Cost Recovery Project opportunities, focused on providing ESL and Scholarship Management Programs for youth and young adults. Osamah has worked closely with Government of Iraq agencies and private sector companies to design programs that meet their unique training and educational needs, while assisting Iraqi students and working professionals to acheive success.

Sunny Ige

As CLIC's current Financial Analyst, he holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting Specialist) degree from University of Toronto, currently a Master of Accounting student at Carleton University, and a Certified Professional Accountants (CPA) Candidate. Sunny enjoys co-curricular activities as he was one of the members of the Board of Directors for his school's newspaper at The Varsity, University of Toronto, he was also the Vice President at Sprott Master of Accounting society at Carleton University.

Zeina Shaieb

Zeina Shaieb is CLIC's Business Development & Communication manager. She has over 8 year experience in designing and implementing marketing and sales campaigns across the MENA region. Zeina also manages the Sales and Marketing team at CLIC-LEARNING. Zeina specializes in creating branding strategies and drives the implementation. She is driven, extremely creative, and has demonstrable experience in transforming organizations and companies. Zeina Shaieb is an expert in social media marketing, she utilizes several platforms in her work. Prior to joining CLIC, Zeina worked with several local and international companies as a social media manager. She handled business development, branding and sales strategies.
