Allen Jacobs

Dr. Jacobs is a nationally recognized author, researcher and a noted authority of surgery of the foot. Education Dr. Jacobs is a 1973 Summa Cum Laude graduate of the Pennsylvania College of Podiatric Medicine. He completed his residency in surgery at Monsignor Clement Kern Hospital for special surgery in Warren, Michigan in 1975. Dr. Jacobs is in private practice in St. Louis, Missouri. He is board certified in reconstructive surgery of the foot and ankle by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery, and is a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. For 25 years, Dr. Jacobs served as a Director of Podiatric Surgical Residency Training; and has also served as a contributing editor to the Journal of Foot Surgery, Podiatry Today, Foot and Ankle Quarterly and Clinics in Podiatric Medicine and Surgery. Additionally, Dr. Jacobs has served as the Scientific Chairman of the American Podiatric Medical Association, The Missouri Podiatry Society, and on the Journal Management Committee of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgery. He was the first podiatrist to receive the rank of Fellow by Temple University. He was voted a Lifetime Achievement Award and to The Podiatry Hall of Fame. He has received numerous awards from the APMA and ACFAS for his dedication to podiatry and podiatric education, as well as recognition from the governors of Missouri, Arkansas and Massachusetts. He has published over 80 scientific articles in various publications and 17 chapter contributions in various textbooks, and has presented over 1000 papers at podiatric and medical society meetings. In addition to his practice, Dr. Jacobs maintains a free educational website, www.centerforpodiatriceducation.com, with open access to students, residents and practitioners of podiatric medicine and surgery. David J. Freedman

Dr. David Freedman has practiced since 1987, one of the founders of FASMA, is a compliance and coding expert. Education Board Member, U.S. Foot and Ankle Specialists,LLC; Vice-President, Foot & Ankle Specialists of the Mid-Atlantic, LLC; APMA, Chair Coding Committee, CAC-MD Representative; Certified Professional Coder; Certified Professional Medical Auditor; Certified Surgical Foot and Ankle Coder Dr. Freedman has been a resident of Olney, MD since 1987 when he started his practice. Since 2011, Vice-President of Foot and Ankle Specialists of the Mid-Atlantic, LLC and was elevated to be on the Board, US Foot and Ankle Specialists in 2018, a single specialty podiatry group practice of now 147 podiatrists with 85 locations. He currently serves as Chair of the American Podiatric Medical Association Coding Committee and is the Medicare Podiatry CAC representative for Maryland. He is board certified in foot surgery by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery and is a Fellow, American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, and a Fellow of the American Society of Podiatric Surgeons. He is a Certified Professional Coder from the American Academy of Professional Coders and is a Certified Professional Medical Auditor.

Michael Brody

Dr Brody is an experienced educator having held academic appointments from multiple colleges of Podaitric Medicine, he is a former residency director and has lectured nationally and internationally. Education Dr. Brody went to MIT for his Undergraduate Education and received his DPM from NYCPM. He created and was the Residency Director at DVAMC Northport and worked at the VA Hospital from 1989 until 2016. He has also been in private practice since 1989. He is the Health Information Technology consultant for PICA and Digitsole. He has provided consulting services to: ICS Software TrakNET Comp U Link Langer Biomechanics Televere He is the Medial Director for Podiatry Plan. Dr. Brody formed TLD System to assist private practices to comply with the federal HIPAA regulations. He is the CEO of Registry Clearinghouse which has 8 Podiatry Specific Quality Measures all of which are Outcome measures. He has lectured nationally and internationally on the topics of Health Information Technology and compliance with various rules and regulations that medical providers are required to be compliant with.
