Brendan McGillion

Brendan is responsible for managing CMC's estimating team to maintain and continue the growth and direction of CMC. Brendan manages all systems and processes within the Precontracts team of Engineering Managers, Senior/Estimators, Administrators, including coordination and engagement of Consultants on the decision to bid process; estimating procurement process; management of the estimating pricing process and estimating planning process.

David Ahern

  • Executive Manager - Strategic Business Development
As Director of CMC for over 20 years, David provides leadership and is responsible for identifying new opportunities, securing new business, and ensuring a strong safety culture. David is also an integral member of the Executive Leadership Team and works closely with senior managers to develop and implement strategy. A civil engineer with extensive major project experience, David has been involved in a number of complex projects including Brisbane's Inner City Bypass, Port of Brisbane Motorway Alliance, and Port of Brisbane Seawall Alliance and ALT member of the SQARRP Bridge Alliance for TMR. David is responsible for engaging with clients, designers and the wider industry developing new opportunities and projects. David is responsible for identifying, planning, and securing a future pipeline of civil projects, to sustain and improve CMC's business objectives consistent with the company's Strategic Direction and Business Plan.

Deborah Woodroffe - CFO

Job Titles:
  • Chief Financial Officer
Deborah is responsible for ensuring that the CMC group of companies are managed in a sound commercial manner while integrating finance strategies and systems with a best for business approach. Deborah provides effective financial management of all key areas, including cashflow, operational expenditure, capital expenditure, borrowings, project securities and financial prequalification.

Grant Christensen

Grant is responsible for all projects, plant hire and quarry operations within CMC. Drawing on extensive experience in successfully delivering transport, rail, oil and gas, water and marine projects in Queensland and New South Wales, Grant provides strong leadership to CMC's wider team. Grant has experience in all contracting models and is focused on developing strong working relationships with his clients and enhancing CMC's reputation.

Mark Daniel

Job Titles:
  • Executive Manager - People & Culture
Mark provides direction, support and leadership for all HR functions including recruitment, training and development, payroll, remuneration and benefits, performance management, employee engagement and retention and industrial relations. Mark manages the recruitment and selection process within CMC by preparing suitable recruitment strategies and media advertising; participating in recruitment interviews; developing and cultivating relationships with recruitment agencies for optimum service; developing and implementing EEO based recruitment and selection procedures.

Martin Binnie

Job Titles:
  • Executive Manager - Governance, Risk & Assurance
Martin is responsible for ensuring our integrated management system (IMS) is consistent with the AS/NZS ISO 9001, AS/NZS ISO 14001 and AS 4801 suite of standards, meeting all legislative and best practice requirements. He also manages CMC's corporate and project information technology and communications systems.

Peter Kendall - Managing Director

His extensive background in project delivery throughout Australia and Asia brings experience and lessons learned from a range of complex projects involving large-scale human resource demands, and tight commercial controls. Peter's focus is to provide leadership by inspiring and motivating personnel to continually strive for excellence and safety in everything they do. Peter is responsible for overall business strategy corporate governance, client and industry-wide relationships. Peter is an active advocate for the civil construction industry, he has been a CCF Board member at both State and National levels for over ten years, is a past President of the CCF Queensland (2018-2021) and past Vice President of the CCF National Body (2016-2021). He is also a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (FAICD).

Steve Allen

Steve has strategic oversight of CMC's operations providing leadership and management support to ensure the company meets its commercial and non-commercial objectives. Steve has a strong track record of client engagement, team development and driving performance across major civil projects. He understands the challenges of delivering complex civil projects and has extensive experience in the design and construction of significant transport infrastructure and civil works across Australia, New Zealand and the UK delivering dams, rail, roads, bridges, tunnels, surface and underground mining, utilities and flood repair works.
