Clients only pay for analyzing their specific financial situations, formulating and being educated about recommendations, and helping them implement changes. A Certified Financial Planner, Bob received his Master of Science degree in Financial Planning and his MBA in Management from Golden Gate University in San Francisco, and his bachelor's degree from the United States Military Academy, West Point, NY. Upon leaving the military, Bob began his financial planning career while working at Intel Corp, and also worked for IDS Life Insurance Co., American Express Financial Advisors, and LPL Financial, prior to opening Compass Rose Financial Planning in 2007.
Bob is a member of and on the West Region Board of Directors, as Treasurer and Chairman of the Scholarship Committee, of the National Association of Personal Financial Planner (NAPFA). He is also a member of The Financial Planning Association (FPA) and former Treasurer of the Desert Business Association for over 5 years.
Bob received his Master of Science degree in Financial Planning and MBA in Management from Golden Gate University, and his bachelor's degree from the U.S. Military Academy.
Biography
As the Business Manager at Compass Rose Financial Planning, David Warner brings with him more than 30 years of financial analysis and administrative experience including 9 years as a budget and program analyst with the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services in Washington, DC, working primarily in the areas of Social Security and Medicare. In addition, David served 18 years as a senior policy analyst with the Social Security Advisory Board where he worked primarily in analyzing national policies to promote income and retirement security for the aged and other vulnerable populations.
David has a Master of Public Management Degree in Government and Non-profit Financial Management from the School of Public Affairs at the University of Maryland, College Park. Immediately after retiring from federal service in 2018, David and his husband relocated to the Coachella Valley where he joined the team at Compass Rose Financial Planning.
Biography
As the Operations Manager at Compass Rose Financial Planning, Michael Crick brings with him more than 20 years of administrative experience including 11 years with Intel where he was a Senior Administrative Assistant in the legal department. He excels in fast-paced and changing environments, while successfully carrying out complex tasks in diverse areas including project management, database administration and customer service.
Michael has an Associate of Arts Degree from Mission Community College in Santa Clara, CA. In addition to his work with Compass Rose, Michael has volunteered with a number of community-based non-profit organizations, editing newsletters, grant writing and marketing. He is the long-time life partner and husband of Bob Machado.
