Collinge & Clark was founded in 1989 and is situated between Russell Square Tube station and the British Library. Originally a partnership between Michael Collinge and Oliver Clark, the former retired in 2005. The shop has a medium-sized stock, ground-floor and basement, and specialises in Private Press books, Typography and the art of the book since William Morris. One large catalogue is issued a year and various occasional lists. Shop opening hours are 11.00 to 6.30 weekdays. We also attract many visitors for the shop frontage being used in the cult television series 'Black Books'... We have a medium-sized stock of rare and secondhand books and are one of London's leading shops for Private Presses, Typography, Graphic Design and the art of the book since William Morris. Also, bargains on all sorts of subjects are to be found in the basement and boxes outside. Yes, they filmed the televison series 'Black Books' here. No, we don't serve coffees and teas, but on the other hand we do..
