COLLEGE FARM

College Farm is an arable farm set in the peaceful Suffolk countryside, surrounded by acres of woodland and countryside, abundant in birds and wildlife and close to the coast. It is just 6 miles west of Ipswich on the A1071 to Hadleigh... It was built in about 1470. The land and house were given to Cardinal Thomas Wolsey on becoming Chancellor by King Henry VIII, as a reward for his work. When Wolsey fell from grace, the house and land were taken away from him and given to Eton College at Windsor. College Farm remained in the possession of Eton College until December 1800 when it was sold and became part of the Hintlesham Hall Estate... College Farm Bed Breakfast.
