Experience Bill Messer joined Regenity in June 2016. Bill is an accomplished medical device executive with over 20 years of marketing and leadership experience. He has extensive experience with business development, marketing, sales force excellence, portfolio management, strategic planning, medical education, and thought leader development. Prior to joining Regenity, Bill held various marketing and general management roles with Biomet, a company specializing in products for total joint replacement, orthopedic fixation devices, dental implants, spinal implants, and biologics. His most recent senior leadership roles for Biomet Spine were the Vice President of Marketing and the Vice President of Medical Education. Education Bill earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Connecticut College.

Jessica Swanson - CMO

Experience Jessica Swanson joined Regenity in July 2021. Jessica is a senior marketing executive dedicated to improving lives globally through the development, commercialization, and impact of innovative healthcare devices and products. Most recently, Jessica served as Vice President of Global Marketing for the Breast and Skeletal Health Division at Hologic, Inc., leading a dynamic team focused on product management, integrated brand marketing, medical education, and sales training. During her tenure, she launched several new breast imaging, software, and surgery products, produced multiple award-winning marketing campaigns, and pioneered a groundbreaking health equity program. Prior to Hologic, Jessica spent seven years with Medtronic, managing upstream marketing and partnering with R&D to develop numerous innovative products, including a novel endoscopic stapler with preloaded tissue reinforcement. She also led downstream commercialization for the US-based surgical devices business. Education Jessica is a graduate of Boston University and has a Masters of Business Administration degree from the University of Connecticut.

Oystein Valberg - CFO

Experience Oystein Valberg joined Regenity in October 2016 to oversee finance and administration. Oystein has more than 20 years of progressive senior corporate finance leadership and business development experience, including 17 years with Medtronic Plc, where he earned a reputation as a strong, hands-on organizational leader. Most recently, Oystein served as CFO and Vice President of Finance, Strategy, and Business Development for Medtronic's Surgical Technology business unit. His valuable experience working with Medtronic also included responsibilities in Corporate Development, Treasury, and Investor Relations. Prior to Oystein's tenure at Medtronic, he served as an analyst with U.S. Bankcorp, and as an auditor for Grant Thornton, where he earned his CPA. Education Oystein earned a Bachelor's degree and an MBA from the Carlson School of Management in Minneapolis.

Peggy Hansen

Experience Peggy Hansen joined Regenity in October 2001. Peggy has 25 years of experience in regulatory affairs, clinical research, and quality assurance of implantable medical devices and over 12 years in business development and marketing for Regenity. Before joining Regenity, Peggy was the Manager of Regulatory Affairs at SurModics, Inc., a company specializing in surface modification of medical devices, where she was responsible for the company's regulatory affairs and quality compliance. Prior to working at SurModics, Peggy was at 3M Health Care, Medical Products Division and Cardiovascular Systems Division where she was responsible for U.S. and global regulatory filings with respect to the company's class I, II, and III medical devices and combination products. Peggy was also employed by ReGen Biologics, Inc., a company involved in the development of collagen orthopedic products. She is a certified Regulatory Affairs Professional. Education She received her Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from Cornell University.

Shawn McCarthy - CEO

Experience Shawn McCarthy joined Regenity in January 2020. Shawn is an accomplished global healthcare executive with nearly 30 years of experience in medical devices, most recently serving as General Manager of Structural Heart Valves at Boston Scientific, where he was responsible for developing and launching a range of innovative and clinically significant products and acquiring key technologies. Prior to Boston Scientific, Shawn was President and CEO at Tryton Medical, a privately held venture-backed startup which earned the first global approval for a dedicated coronary bifurcation stent. He also held a range of management roles with increasing responsibility at Cordis, a Johnson & Johnson company, culminating as Worldwide Vice President of Marketing for Cardiology, Endovascular, and Neurovascular. Subsequent to Johnson & Johnson, McCarthy was Senior Vice President and General Manager of both the Vascular and Oncology Surgery business units at AngioDynamics. Education Shawn holds a Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Syracuse University.

Susan Miller - CHRO

Experience Susan Miller is our Head of Human Resources with nearly two decades of experience in HR strategy and employee engagement in the manufacturing sector. She joined our team in 2023, bringing with her extensive expertise from roles such as Head of HR at PIM Brands and various positions at Evonik Industries, a global specialty chemicals company. Susan is known for her collaborative approach in addressing business challenges and aligning HR strategies with organizational needs. Her leadership style and commitment to our Regenity culture are assets to our team. Originally from Fair Lawn, NJ, Susan enjoys spending time with her two young adult children and has a strong affinity for the outdoors, particularly by a lake. She oversees our Human Resources function, based in Paramus, while also maintaining a presence across all our locations. Education Susan is a graduate of Rutgers University.

Tim Starr - COO

Experience Tim Starr joined Regenity in November 2022. Tim is a biochemist with 30 years of leadership experience in life sciences manufacturing and supply chain. Before joining Regenity, Tim served as Vice President of Operations for Boston Scientific Corporation's Symetis TAVI (Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implantation) manufacturing and supply chain, a role established when he joined Symetis in 2012. At Symetis, he oversaw the demand-led growth of the factories in Brazil and Switzerland, demonstrating year-on-year production growth with outstanding quality, service and cost performance. His prior work experience included quality and compliance functional leadership roles in medical device, pharmaceuticals, and infant nutritional supply chain activities for Boston Scientific's CRM division, Abbott Laboratories, and Wyeth Pharmaceuticals where he held roles in the Nutritionals and Pharmaceutical division supply organizations, including being on the pioneer leadership team for the construction and operation of their Singapore plants. Education Tim holds an Honors Degree in Biochemistry from National University of Ireland, Galway, and is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Biology, London.
